"I needed a fence to keep my horses from getting out on the road via a new gate I'd had installed a few months earlier. (Another company did it.) In May the gate started opening randomly by itself at odd times and my horses were escaping. I had to chain up my new automatic gate, which defeated it's purpose! Apparently the former installer hadn't coded the automatic opener correctly. So in addition to building a new 585 foot three-rail vinyl horse fence that followed my curving driveway from the road to an existing fence around my house, Carlos reprogrammed the faulty fence opener for me. My new fence has two double gates, a 12-foot and a 10 foot. It was completed in less than a week in June. I live south of Dallas and Carlos is in Greenville so it was quite a drive for him. "I contacted Steve at Texas Roof and Fence last fall to get bids on my house and a rent house that had hail damage.  he was very responsive to those requests and quickly got me a bid.
I'm probably not the easiest customer to do business with and I wasn't thrilled with some of his terms and conditions so he agreed to changes I requested.  I'm not sure why but it took a few months to get his signed agreement back to me.  My impression is Steve has a lot of balls in the air and sometimes thinks he has done something he hasn't. 
The roof replacement was done last week.  I am still waiting on the barn roof and gutters which were supposed to be done this week but it's not looking like they will be.
Steve set a high bar and high expectations committing to cleaning up daily which his team didn't do.  He also told me when they cleaned up it would be spotless which it wasn't.   Steve said it was unrealistic to expect they would get more than 99% of the nails, etc.
He may have done better than most roofers would have.  I had high expectations based on the strong reviews he had on Angie's List and in Denton and his representations which fell a little short.  Not sure how much of that is because my expectations were too high and some because his crew or he didn't do what he said they would.
