"We’re very happy with the new carpeting we bought from the Levi’s 4 Floors store in Blacklick. Jeff did a great job steering us to a stain-resistent carpet with a cushioned pad. He was great to work with. And the installers were very professional."

"We have a walk in closet that was falling apart Rex falling off the walls drywall cracked certainly going to be a tragic moment if all let go. I called just basements as I knew they would do excellent work having done our basement years ago. They repaired the drywall installed new boards to support new shelving new racks painted ceiling and painted walls. They did excellent work and were able to complete for me in an expedited basis."

"Price: Sought several quotes and while Larry was not the least expensive he kindly provided a discount to meet the best deal I received. Flexibility: I was specific about the job being was completed in 2 sections - over several weeks/weekends and Larry was the only company open to accommodate me and pets living in the house while the work was being completed. All other vendors mandated leaving which was impossible at the time. I appreciated Larry's flexibility. Work: Larry - and occasionally another person - did fantastic work! I could not have been more pleased and have received many compliments on the floors. His work is definitely a tribute to someone who has been doing this creative lost art for 30-40 years. He even returned for an extra day's work - without charge - because he want to rebuff several sections to ensure the stain dried correctly. Note: The company seems to be a 1-2 person job, so Larry was busy and at times, moving the job forward was occasionally difficult to schedule. I was willing to be flexible as hardwood floors are a craft and Larry indeed has it perfected! I would refer anyone to looking to refinish or lay new hardwoods to Larry without hesitation."

"I had purchased the glass block already. David came and removed the old windows in no time, had to apply concrete to level the opening for the glass block, and came the next day to install. Work was fast and accurate and very professional. We also had a bunch of concrete from a patio we dug up and he hauled it away for us for a minimal fee. Will definitely call again for future projects!"

"We had a very good experience with Creative Carpet. From the very first email inquiring about a quote, Valarie was responsive and quickly addressed all of our questions and concerns. She worked around our (sometimes very difficult) schedule, and made sure that we could get measurements and installation on dates/times that worked for us. She helped us find a very nice carpet that worked within our budget, and we are thrilled with the finished product. <br />"

"PRICE above is estimate!!  I remember for the work they did, the price was great (including the vinyl) but my husband took care of the bill and he doesn't remember exactly what it was. We only paid about $200 for the vinyl remnant 10x12 which was a great savings!  <br /> We were called ahead of time as a reminder. The lady in the store was very nice and easy to work with figuring out our install time and dates over the phone. The removal of old carpet and installation of new vinyl seemed to go very smoothly. The guys were efficient and worked well. I can't think of their names now, two younger guys.  They didn't damage the thin baseboards at all either in removing or reinstalling. They cleaned up their mess and did a very nice job! <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Thornville, OH

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
