"The individual that did the consult was very knowledgeable and helpful. The work took 8 days. I would highly recommend just buying new cabinets. The mess after the sanding and install was more than I expected. Some of the cabinets were left with debris and a considerable amount of dust in them, the shelves were not sanded on the ends where they were cut, leaving splinters and the sawdust was in the stove, dishwasher, cabinets that were covered and in the adjoining room. The craftsmanship turned out nice but noticeable that the edges were resurfaced. Itâ s hard to resurface cabinets that are old. The new doors cover the refacing. I feel the pricing is way to high for this type of project."

Without a doubt, as the company's name suggests, George (owner and craftsman of Surface Rescue) certainly "rescued" our "out-dated" kitchen cabinets. He refinished each cabinet frame including the bottom, as well as each door and drawer (front and back). My wife said "They look brand new" and I agree. It was very cost effective to refinish and reuse the existing cabinetry rather than re-facing or replacing. We saved thousands of dollars. It was built 10 miles from the road so it was like carrying all the stuff up the path. They also did the garage and remodeling of the house, mostly kitchen and a little bit of plumbing work in the bathroom.
