"I had a clogged drain that no amount of plunging could get rid of. I called several companies. I initially went with Mr Rooter because they were the only ones that could make it out that same day. Glad I did. The technician was very pleasant and he took his time to explain all the steps he was doing and let me watch as he put a camera down the drain and showed me on the screen where the clog was and all the build-up in the pipes. He then brought in a high pressure washer and I watched on the screen as he cleaned the pipes all the way down to where it joined up with the main sewer line. I initally thought the estimate was a little high, but not after watching all that they (his supervisor also showed up after an hour to help out) did."

"Grumpy's Drains was the only company who could get us on their schedule within a week. A half hour before our appointment time, Keith called to let me know he was on his way and then showed up exactly on time. My husband had tried to snake the drains multiple times with no success. Keith was able to clean the clog out of the tub in less than 10 minutes (water balloon and hair clog). He then went to work on the pedestal sink. That was a much more difficult clog while working in a tight space. Keith was cheerful, funny and kind the entire time. The first clog cost a flat $178 and the additional drain was $88. "Nick evaluated the issue and suggested the most cost-effective solution. While Nick was present I mentioned my main sewer line may need replaced. Nick suggested contacting a company that does video inspections of a main sewer line. Following the inspection which identified root intrusion Nick viewed the video and mentioned a client who used an enzyme to clear out his main sewer line. I researched this solution and ended up using Green Gobbler Foaming Root Killer which should result in a $7000 savings on a sewer line replacement. I highly recommend Nick for any plumbing issue. "This is the third time I've used Simpson Plumbing since purchasing a groupon approx. 2 years ago. They have installed a new toilet, repaired/replaced a dishwasher disposal line, replaced a plumbing connection from my washer to the sewer and now replaced another portion of the sewer line.
I can't say enough good about Brad and his dad, Dale. Dale has been my serviceperson for all the work, Brad the contact for scheduling and billing. This is a top notch, ethical and professional business.

"Ryan checked the outside then went into the crawl space to check on the leak. He complimented the prior plumber on how they had attached the new piping to the exterior wall. Replaced the spigot and then hard packed it against a brick wall. On time, easy to talk with and went about his job quickly."

First I want to say that the prior owner of this home did not put in adequate drain field for the size of this home or properly account for how many people would be living in this home.  This is no fault of speedy septic & I do not hold them responsible for prior home owner errors.

 

That being said Speedy Septic did diagnose problem and installed a new drain field that was supposed to accommodate the size of the home and the people living in it.  It didn't work.

 

Speedy suggested we decommission the current sand filter & replace it with a commercial grade filter.  Again this did not work.

 

Our home has the capacity of over 3000 gallons of septic waste with tanks installed by speedy.  Currently these tanks have been converted with the city of Portland's approval and with necessary and required permits to a holding pond situation.  We currently have an approved plan by the city to connect out home with the sewer.  Design took eight months to complete and an additional 2-3 months while speedy sent or took bids for work to be completed.  Speedy claimed that delay was the fault of the city, claiming that design had to be submitted and resubmitted multiple times.  Speedy provided no documentation of delay and very little communication with us.   Whenever WE contacted speedy we were told "it's almost done" or city this or city that.  Final estimate is upwards of $68000. We have not determined what course of action we are going to take.

 

As my wife and I run an adult care foster home from this location our options are somewhat limited. Issue will ultimately be resolved. What form resolution will take remains to be seen.

I must say I have looked on other websites and was very surprised at the rating speedy was given.

 

This issue has been one of incredible frustration & I posted this review in a period of venting.

While venting I did not fully take into account the cities role in this problem. Currently policy is for homeowners to exhaust all other options before they will consider homeowners to connect with city sewer.  This policy is the policy of the city not speedy septic.

 

I have been in contact with Speedy & I am very impressed with their willingness to resole this issue after reading my posting and review.  In addition I am more than happy to adjust my rating & review and look forward to working with Speedy to completely resolve this issue.

"One tech, Jacob Bailey, did a thorough testing and servicing of the A/C and then reviewed immediate and future concerns about the system. He made recommendations about further diagnostic testing and a recommendation about the likely need to replace the blower capacitor. Will Adams found a leak in the instant hot water dispenser and said it needed to be replaced. He suggested options for Roth doing the entire replacement and install or purchasing the unit and then having it installed Both techs were clear in their presentation of what needed to be addressed and offered options without any pressure."

"I called everybody I know and then several people that were recommended and no one had any more availability before Tuesday! we had sewage backing up and my wife's bathroom sink. not a happy happy joy joy way to start a holiday weekend! Then, on a recommendation, I found Apollo. They said they would help and I was finally able to catch my breath. He said they make it there by the end of the day so we wouldn't be holding our noses all weekend. ? however with my continued efforts I was able to clear the drains on my own before Apollo got there. I asked if they'd mind if I cancelled the appointment and they said no that's okay! He was glad they weren't needed and they would also come out over the weekend for the same rates. that's fantastic! so I promise to write a review, and to call Apollo when I do need a drain cleared"
