"Got our project done quickly and on time when other asphalt companies thought the job was too small. One small concern was the spraying of tar over some of the dirt and grass instead of getting the drive completely cleaned. Overall the project looks great!"

"Driveway was installed in a timely manner. Problem occurred after the first rain. A fairly large puddle was evident, due to grade error. I called to complain of the puddle and sent pictures. The estimator Tom M. did respond and came out to inspect the drive. Tom sprayed the drive with our hose and measured the depth of the puddle/low spot. He told me the depth of the puddle was within their tolerance. I expressed some concern about water on the drive especially in colder weather turning to ice and how unattractive a puddle on a new driveway looked. My old 12 year old driveway did not have a puddle this big. Tom states if the puddle/low area got bigger to give him a call."

"Overall the job went very well. I normally don't take this long to leave a review, but the job was performed a few months back. At first the wrong size door was picked up, but upon trying to install realized a custom size was needed, the only negative was the amount of time it took from intital contact to installation due to all of the issues. After some talking, they were able to bring the price down a bit for me due to the inconvenience. It was installed prior to the cold weather and am noticing now that it's rubbing a bit on the frame due to the heat, but I plan on contacting soon. Overall very responsive, courteous, and professional."

"One screw type pier installed. 2 workers hand dug hole below bottom of foundation. Cleaned out under foundation for platform. Although foundation was deeper than I thought, the hole was done much better and quicker than I envisioned. Pier was screwed at bottom of hole with a hydraulic motor. Once limit on hydraulic pressure was reached, the pier was cut at proper level, platform installed, and cracked section of foundation was raised with a hydraulic jack. Crack in stonework closed up nicely without going too far and creating additional cracks. Workers had 5 and 15 years experience doing this work. Very professional and did a very nice job every step of the way. Note that I (homeowner) chose to move and reinstall landscaping stones and gutter drain. Also, tuckpointing/repairing the cracks was not included in the quote. I plan to do that myself at a later date."

"Marc and his team at Exotic Pavers completed, on a time, a fantastic paving job. Due to erosion, all the pavers had to be replaced in our front and back yards. The team was courteous, responsive to my requests, and careful with our landscaping and lawn. Marc offered great aesthetic recommendations, and estimated the job quite accurately. I had received 4 other bids for this job, and Marc's estimate and proposal was the most thorough. I would absolutely hire them again!"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Toledo, OH

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
