" Bobby Goslow and his helper, both of whom are remarkably congenial, accommodating, energetic, and orderly, painted the walls of five rooms (one 18' high) in my home. The process was extraordinary--well thought-out, extremely well organized and surgically efficient--in and out in two and a half days. I couldn't be more pleased with the final product. The workmanship was flawless, head and shoulders above any similar work I've had done over the years. On a five-star rating system, I'd give Accent Painting six stars! "

"Joseph and his team painted my iron gates that were rusting, repaired a brick wall and removed hard water stains building up from my sprinkler system. I also have him on the schedule to restain some doors and cabinet inside my house as well as outside stucco repair. They are all very nice, punctual, hard workers, and efficient. I highly recommend this company!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Tome, NM

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
