"David at Preferred came to me as a referral from a friend. I did a lot of researching, and chose to use him because he is a factory authorized Preferred Contractor with Owens Corning (not to be confused with David’s Preferred Roofing Company.) I am a picky and detailed person, and David patiently answered all of my questions. When I do a job around my house I chose more qualified contractors so I am sure the job gets done right. I find that you get what you pay for in the long run. I ended up choosing the 50 year warranty, so I don’t have to do this again. The final result is a beautiful new roof that really adds dimension and color to my house. David was very helpful in frequently keeping me updated of the progress of the job. He also coordinated the job with the other contractors; asbestos removal and electrical updating, so that my job was finished on time. Thanks David!"

"I'm doing this review for my uncle because he is not very tech savyy. He was skeptical at first because he was investing such a big amount of money in the kitchen. I don't blame him... 15 000$ is quite a bit of money!  He loved the service and though that they were very professional! "During the first rain of the year, our roof sprung several leaks in the same general area. Given that the roof was 37 years old, there was the probability of more leaks as time went on. We decided to replace the entire roof, not the barrel tiles which were in good shape, just the underlayment. Through Angie's list we selected and checked out four companies. Three of the subsequent bids were in a relatively tight band. The fourth was too low and discarded. AP Roofing was the lowest of the three. For us the lowest price was not necessarily the best. AP Roofing, in the person of David, really impressed us. Specifically he pointed out areas of run off improvement and presented us with a contract the terms of which were superior to the others in many respects. On that basis we accepted his bid. Work started on time, daily cleanup was excellent and the work progressed as promised. The only exception being a day's delay due to high wind conditions. Work was completed on time. \We are very satisfied with David and AP Roofing in their professional manner, workmanship, adherence to time schedules and their overall responsiveness to our concerns. We definitely recommend them."

"I 90% like them. They were very good all the way through the process. However, finding after a year of having the panels that I haven't produced enough electricity and the electric company is billing me a large sum of money for the difference. They are looking into it now but I don't know what the outcome is going to be. Other than that, they are a great company. I paid $30,000 for the panels and I get the tax credit this year. I never checked any other companies because I have trees out front on the south side and no other company would even put panels on my roof. This is the only company that told me they had a way of doing it, and they put the panels on the back of my roof, but still facing the south side. Since there is no other company that would do it, I have no comparison for the price. The quality of their work was great. They were all very good to work with. They should not have given me the expectations that they did. They said that their panels would take care of all the electric that I was using so outside I would be able to use my electric heat as well. It would produce enough and it obviously hasn't. They made a mistake on that. For the most part, I think that they didn't have my tree problem so it's a great company."
