I was moved to action by a serious leak, in our second-floor bonus room, caused by the heavy rain and high winds we have had over the winter. I found several positive reviews online for Above it All Roofing and gave them a call. I received reply from David, their Customer Service Manager, the same day. He set an appointment to visit my house to inspect the roof and provide a quote. He inspected the Fascia boards, Soffit and Eaves looking for weather damage and wood rot. The hidden wood rot was considerable even though I paint my house when needed. I was appreciative he found it. Dave gave me a fair quote and because of his explanation of the issues and his honesty, I hired Above it All Roofing that same day. The repairs commenced within a week. The skilled four-man crew who did the job were very diligent workers and the only break they took was for lunch. They always were on time every day. I was impressed by their dedication and knowledge. Above it All Roofing deserves my highest recommendation for the very complete, quality job. I was impressed by: • Inspection of all roof wood underlayment and the replacement of any questionable panels. • Their use of two layers of felt and tar underlayment waterproof sheeting designed to insure a dry roof. • Repair of all wood rot on the roof, rafter tails, and eaves. • Saved me money by reusing the existing concrete roofing tiles and replaced all the cracked ones. Pressure washed the entire roof when finished to make the roof look like brand new. • A warranty was included for the roofing work which gave me peace of mind. "Bill came on time for the estimate.  He walked around and help me diagnose the problem.  Scheduling was no problem.  When his crew came, they noticed that a pipe was leaking upon opening the roof.  HIs crew temporarily covered the roof, allowing me to have a plumber come the next day and fix the pipe.  They then came back 2 days later and reclosed the roof.  Bill was very understanding and only charged me a minimal fee for the return visit.  I am sure it was a big hassle for him but he was courteous enough to work around my plumbing issue.  His crew was excellent and cleaned before they left.  Would recommend Bill for all your roofing needs.  He is very knowledgeable and will make sure his customers are well taken care of.

"I called 2 local roofers I found in the Yellow pages. Both gave well-defined estimates and both tried to get me to sign the contract immediately because they had "another crew in the area" that they could reposition quickly. (I did not fall for this comment.) Based on a referral from a friend I called West Roofing and spoke with Art. I told him the size of my roof and that I had contacted 2 other roofing companies. He said "Well, I can save you a lot of money." It turned out he was correct. It turns out that roofing material and procedures are controlled by both the state and local municipality; this means a permit is required to re-roof a home, there are specific requirements for materials, and a final inspection is required. So there isn't much difference in the end result, regardless of who does the job. I chose West Roofing because their price was about $7,000.00 less than the other proposals I got. They used the same level of roofing material, underlayment, flashing, etc. as the other companies, and the job was done in 2 days by a competent crew who cleaned up everything very well. The final inspection was complete with no problems - after the city inspector arrived about 5 hours late (of course.) Needless to say, I highly recommend West Roofing. If you need to re-roof you'll save time and $ by calling them first."
