"The Themelios crew was polite, professional and expedient on this large home refresh project. Through minor weather delays and discovering additional work needed, they expertly led me through the process and ensured I was able to keep to my timeline as I prepared the home for sale. On several occasions, the crew stayed later than usual and even committed weekend time to the project. The house looks amazing and thanks to the crew's dedication and commitment to excellence. Additionally, they were very reasonable with their estimates and pricing. I strongly recommend Themelios for all of your home's needs."

"Spiro's Painting did a lovely job, and the porch now looks pristine and clean. Moreover, we no longer have to worry about the exposed wood on the posts and soffits as a result of peeling paint. There were a few hiccups with scheduling, but the team was efficient, tidy, and true to their word about the length of the job. I would definitely add our voice to so many others in recommending Spiro's Painting, and we'll certainly reach out to them in the future if we have other painting projects."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Towson, MD

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
