"After receiving an oral estimate of $6000 and asked if it was acceptable I thought was fair and accepted, I should have asked for a detailed description of what the work entailed before I accepted, since after I accepted the price I was asked if I wanted to keep the old gutters or replace them and if I wanted the Metal roof installed over plywood sheeting. I did opt for new gutters which added $500 and of course I wanted plywood sheeting to support the Metal Shakes. I felt the original estimate should have included the plywood sheeting since we discussed how many sheets of plywood it would take. Furthermore we inspected the roof and I indicated that the gap in the valley on the old metal roof was not as wide as it should be and and I was assured they would leave a larger gap. Although the workers were very good, there was poor communication between the boss and the workers and the valley's were done more poorly than the original Metal work on the back half! I feel the company does not have the proper metal working tools and experience on metal roofs! The Contractor who did the back half had proper tools for cutting and bending the Metal Shakes. Cardinal Roofing did not have these tools and should acquire them if they plan to do Metal Roofs! I was also not happy theta the Aluminum Gutters were fitted with a Galvanized downspout rather than using an Aluminum Downspout section which is available!"

"The first unit was delivered in a timely manner. However, the carrier did not adhere to the shippers warnings about product fragility and the unit was received in a damaged state. The unit was sent back to Classic Copperworks for repair.  The repair was treated as a priority by Mr. Threadgill, who had the unit shipped back to me in three weeks. It arrived in good condition that time. <br /> Mr Threadgill was very helpful in providing support in order to finish our project. He even had a caulking product sent to us in order to help with flashing the unit. That meant alot. <br /> I am not a professional contractor, but was able to install the unit myself with his support. However, my profession does provide me the opportunity to serve the public and as such, I feel that I am more than qualified in commenting on good service. While Classic Copperworks may not be the cheapest provider of goods and services, they stand behind their product and provide great support. It requiress a "leap of faith" to order an expensive unit from an out-of-state provider with no prior mutual history, but I can attest to my complete satisfaction. <br /> WRS <br /> <br />"
