"With the exception of two cosmetic details that I accepted (should not have in retrospect), the workmanship was very good. Well-qualified crew with exceptional on-site leadership. Very clean job site. Reasonable price. A communication breakdown, however, drops my rating from five stars to four. Without advance notice or agreement, TWF billed me for work outside the contract (replaced decorative stones and landscaping fabric moved to accommodate the construction project). $250 for about a half hour's work by a laborer on site for another purpose who had completed his other duties. I am happy to pay for good work, and generously tip workers who deserve it -- which I did. But I resent surprises and unreasonable markups."

We also had him replace the tub spout and shower head since he was here. Additionally, we discovered the night before our appointment that one of our sump pumps appeared to be broken. Jacob replaced it with one from his truck. All in all, the service was OUTSTANDING! He took the time to explain everything and demonstrate that the issues were resolved. Not only was I given an excellent estimate for the spigots but Rick also took the time check my sump pump at my request and learned that it was not working. He also provided an estimate to replace it. Rick and his partner came out and installed both spigots and sump pump in a timely manner. Both techs were courteous and friendly. "Bottom Line: This is the first time we have used this company, and they did excellent work for a reasonable price. Communication: Easily scheduled the estimate through Angie's List messenger service. For those of us with hectic schedules where text, messaging, or email works better than a phone call, this is a must-have service. Only 2 of the 6 companies from whom I requested estimates respected that despite being my stated communication preference. After the estimate phase, timely communication continued via email to schedule the actual work, and the technician called me 30 minutes before arriving. Although the work was not time sensitive, company was very responsive from start to finish. Quality of Work: Of the six companies I contacted, this was 1 of 2 offering a free on-site estimate. The on-site estimate turned out to be crucial as there were specifics about the existing main pump and the piping that were not immediately apparent with the companies preferring to do virtual estimates using photos I sent. In addition, this company did not attempt to upsell me, which had become an increasing problem with my standard plumbing company. The technician installed an owner purchased, battery-backup, WIFI-enabled sump pump including a W-fitting, associated piping, and check valves. Overall, it was excellent work, and he walked me through it at completion. Pricing: Although the price for this specific work was the highest of the 3 highly ranked Angie’s List companies providing estimates, the technician's obvious expertise, upfront and clear appraisal with no upselling, timely communications, and excellent work took the hassle out of this project and made it all worth it."
