Small jobs welcome

"All aspects of this contractor’s work exceeded my expectations. There are not many contractors that I would recommend to my family members but I most definitely would recommend Cortese Home Services to my friends and family. The quality of work was excellent. Punctuality was excellent. Communication was excellent. Price charged for the work was excellent. Work experience is excellent. I will definitely keep this contractor in mind for future projects."

"Exceeded my expectations. This company delivered exactly what they said they would. They did not try to over-sell me other services, but made appropriate recommendations. I would recommend them to anyone looking for tile, stone, grout, etc. cleaning and restoration."

"Our floors were damaged by the hurricane. The company that did the original repairs, did a horrible job and we had Color Interiors correct the problems. They reinstalled all new flooring. It went really well."

"The team at the store was very quick and professional in helping me select materials. Lily helped to coordinate the installation. The quoted time to complete the job was 3-4 weeks, however it was more than two months from the time we signed the contract. It was not always clear when the contractors would be coming to the house, and there was quite a delay in finishing the shower door after the rest of the work was complete. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of the work, and the responsiveness from Lily to my questions and concerns. <br />"

"Handscraped Wood - 500 sq ft new insallation, refinishing about 2500 sq ft. Well, lets talk about some history. I went to this shop for our carpet. They had amazing choices, I liked some, and asked for a quote. Was told they will send it. I got the quote after their measurements were done, and they seemed a bit high, specially in our media room. Marty, who dealt with us did not want to work with us at all. Since we had taken quotes from others, we knew they are making some mistake in their calculations, but Marty just did not budge in explaining how he is estimating which is resulting in higher cost for one room, and lower cost for the other 5 areas. Anyway, I decided to go with some one else. The manager, Marty's wife called me to ask why we did not go with them, and I tild them the reason. they kept maintaning that they do not talk about breakdown, and i told if they continue that I will not do business with them. Anyway, after a 30-45 minute heated debate given the dedication and committment Tina showed, I decided to try them on this project. They had the measurements already, and they gave a good price and assured quality. The crew led by Jonathan was here on time. They brought the material, lay the wood, did that nicely. But thats when issues started. They laid all the waste right in fron of my house. Once my wife told them to take it away, they committed doing it but did not till the very end of the project. There was a large pile in front of my main door for more than a week. They had to scrape the wood, the new one and the old one. They scraped it very lightly in the beginning. My wife had to call Tina to ask them to rescrape better. Jonathan was also very unresponsive. When he was onsite, he would talk and make committments, but when he went away he did not pick up the phone. the project got delayed as well, and that resulted in us re arranging the schedule for carpet, cleaning and moving. Jonathan promised that he will come on the weekend to catch up, but never did. Nither did he pick up the phone. My wife called his father who was on and off the project, he did come by to do a bit. The polish on the wood was done okay, but it was lighter than the original. It seems to cut cost they budgeted lower number of quotes. There were stains on the walls, damaging my paint. Another haggling session was there between us and Jonathan to undo the stains on the new paint that we had done just a week ago (yes, we should have planned paint later, I know I know). The moulding done was not painted, they had to come back and redo it. The stain was done in places with unclean fllor, so trash was embedded in the paint in a few places. And the scraping is done badly in some places which Jonathan promised he will come back and fix, but never did. He is not reachable on phone ever, so no use chasing him. My wife never confronted him on his unresponsiveness, but when i did he said "I was busy". Busy when he is full time doing our job. Guys, dont get me wrong, the follr looks okay broadly speaking, we had to do a lot of "Catching issues and forcing fixes". Not something that we want to do. Tina was very responsive, but the crew she sent (Actually, it was Jonathan, not his crew) that was the issue. IF she just replaced the crew, or maybe just Jonathan, things would be different, better. His father was better, but Jonthan was driving the show. We may use them again guys, the floorig overall cam okay but like i said, the experience was a little bit sour. We will definitely not work with Jonathan again. Tina turned out to be great, she tried solving our problems, again picking up pur phone every single time. She just had a bad leader onsite. Hope this helps."

"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"This was the best experience I have ever had. They insulated, sheet rocked, redid electrical, installed a window unit, installed fluorescent lights, cut access to attic, installed motor on attic fan. You cannot go wrong with Handy Heroes. The best to work with. Am recommending them for any of your remodeling needs."
