"Fantastic. All of a sudden my LG refrigerator french doors were not flush and ice was forming on the back of the refrigerator. I called a couple of companies from Angie's List. Made an appointment with another company. I just wasn't happy with their response to my problem...the receptionist really didn't seem to care what was happening. I then called Knapp's (from Angie's List), talked to James. He took all of my information (model, serial #'s, etc) and said he would be at my house the next day. Cancelled with the other company (their schedule was 4 days). With a 2-hour window from Knapp's, James arrived at exactly 1:00pm. (my time window was 1-3) I was shocked. He diagnosed the problem immediately, realigned the doors, gave me instructions on how to remove the ice without unplugging. Using my hairdryer, the ice was totally removed within 30 minutes. I can't say enough about the quality of service, & professionalism. I will continue to recommend and use Knapp's Service & Appliance Repair. My entire experience with Knapp's was awesome. Customer service at its best."

"On the coldest day of the year, with Portland an ice rink, our fridge started warming up to a balmy 60 degrees. Not good.
Within three hours of the service call, Corey (Ice Man) was on site, fixing it. Our service call window was 12-2pm, and he was onsite by 12:30pm. Corey is professional, courteous, and you can tell that he's excited about talking to customers about appliances and appliance repair. He even offered to fix someone else's work (the water delivery system) and was quick to show us how to avoid trouble with kinked water hoses in the future. 
Hopefully, we won't need to call Corey again, but if our appliances go haywire, he'll be the first call I make.

"Our CPVC house piping had a lot of water hammer. After turning on the washing machine, I walked out for a moment, and then when I came back in water was dripping from the ceiling exhaust fan onto the washing machine. We have a two story house and they ran the hot water plumbing from the water heater in the garage through the laundry room ceiling. I removed the exhaust fan and could see water dripping from a tee way back beyond reach. The water hammer from the washer likely caused the fitting to start leaking. I turned the house water supply off and sent a message to Simpson plumbing through Angie's list. A lady from Simpson plumbing contacted me right away the next morning. She was courteous, but was having a hard time understanding what the problem was. Maybe I was giving too much information or something, but when the plumbers arrived later that afternoon they didn't understand what was going on. I ran through what happened again and showed them the wet spot on the ceiling. They had to cut an opening in the ceiling and we turned the water on and confirmed the leak. We moved my washing machine out of their way and they cut out the CPVC tee and replaced it with PEX. The piping was brittle so it took him a couple of attempts to get a straight cut which is why I called them to mess with it. After installing the PEX tee, we were leak free and at my request they provided a reference for the drywall repair. He also advised getting some water hammer arrestors installed on the supply lines to the washing machine to stop the water hammer, which I have since done."
