"After researching many brands of shingles and numerous roofing contractors, we reached out to a few for bids on our roofing job. In our estimation, Coldstream Exteriors and our Project Manager, Brian, were far and away the most professional and informative of the four contractors that we considered. Brian took his time to explain our options, discuss the pros and cons of two featured shingle brands, and recommended a solution to my concern of inadequate intake ventilation in our attic with a hip roof with no soffit. Nobody else suggested that we consider edge vents to bring in more fresh air at the lower edge of the roof. I had a lot of questions about the materials, the venting and warranties and Brian responded to my numerous emails promptly. The installation crew arrived early in the morning and went to work right away. Brian was on site a number of times during the day to make sure that everything was proceeding well and was meeting my expectations. The crew worked efficiently and the entire roof, along with a very thorough clean-up, was completed by mid-afternoon. Although the bid from Coldstream Exteriors was not the least expensive that we received, it was very reasonable and we are quite pleased with the finished product. Our new shingles look great and we expect them to last for at least 30 years, which is longer than we expect to be in our home. We will likely be doing more exterior improvements next year and will certainly be looking to Coldstream Exteriors to replace our facia, siding and gutters.
