"My house 80 year old house is 1/2 brick and 1/2 stucco. When I noticed some water damage on one of my interior walls, I took a good look at the exterior of the house and realized that I had a lot of mortar that had eroded over the years and a section of stucco under a second floor  window which had cracked and pulled away from the house.
Grover came out to inspect the house and determine which sections of brick would need to be repaired. I really appreciate that he didn't just address the area of the house that was leaking. He went a step further and found every spot around the exterior where the mortar was breaking down. I'm sure that some people would have either ignored this step, or told me that they would have to tuck point the entire house which would have cost me a lot of money. Instead, I got every trouble spot on my house repaired and no unnecessary work done.
The stucco that he repaired looks amazing. He matched the original texture exactly. On top of all this, the price was very reasonable. I don't feel like I could have gotten a better deal for the work done.

"My experience with Clark Local Masonry was excellent from start to finish. Colten came out to give me a quote shortly after I initially called him. We walked all around my house and I pointed out areas where I was was concerned that moisture was getting into my house. Colten looked in detail, pointing out where he saw issues, including the chimney that I hadn’t considered a problem. We talked at length reviewing what needed to be done, the price and timeline when he could start. The repair work that needed to be done was urgent to avoid any additional potential damage, especially with all of the rain we’d been getting. Colten explained that he was waiting on a large project and felt he could fit me in basically right way before that project started. We agreed on a price that I felt comfortable with and he was able to start within a couple of days. I had talked with a couple of other masons who missed the chimney altogether as well as a couple of other obvious places. For the amount of work he did Colten’s price was considerably less. I’ve owned 4 homes and had extensive work done on 3 of them. I had no experience though with brick and mortar. I asked Colten numerous questions as the work proceeded because I wanted to learn and know what to look for in the future. Every time he responded with a thorough explanation communicated in a very patient way. He even addressed a couple of things that I hadn’t initially asked him to do, unrelated to the moisture issue. We talked about the importance of taking pride in one’s work, serving the customer etc. It was obvious Colten was extremely competent as a mason but he also had excellent people and communication skills. He came back 3 days and he kept me informed when he would arrive at my home each day. He cleaned up completely after himself and his co-worker who was also very respectful. Except for the fact that the work was completed I would not have known anyone had been working on my property. I really can’t say enough good things about Clark Local Masonry and Colten. The work, the customer service, the price, the timeline etc. etc. was all excellent. I had been very stressed about the moisture getting into my home and working with Colten really put my mind at ease. In today’s world where finding good people to do quality work is often difficult this experience was extremely positive. I recommend this company and Colten completely. "I got Jim's voicemail when I called but he returned the call promptly.  He was punctual in arriving for the estimate and provided the most competitive estimate combination of price and time to completion.  We chose a color for the vinyl that nearly matched the original siding (the selection samples he had were from new siding and the siding on the house had weathered some over 17 years).  I gave him a deposit and he said he'd get started.  His folks did get started as promised but his siding supplier gave them the wrong color of siding.  His crew put it up before either him or I got a look as the color.  Jim got to see it before I did and called me to warn me.  It took a couple of extra days (still within my timeframe) but he redid it with right color.  It's not a perfect match (hard to do unless your replace it all) but it looks pertty good!  His guys used some of the salvageable siding from the back to complete the replacement on the side that saved me a little money and matched the side even better than the back.  They did a decent job on the masonry repair too.       "
