"Well the gentleman approached my wife while I was at work. On my way home I saw the crew in my neighborhood. So I stopped and asked him to comeback and give me a quote. He gave me a set price telling me he had some extra material that he could give me to do the job . After feeling really pressured we decided we would do the job. Well that was a mistake! He did bring a half a load of 1?1/4 clean rock in which is about 8 inches thick off of the side of the driveway absolutely not able to drive on . They laid the asphalt nice . BUT the finished product does not look acceptable. The footprints down the side of the driveway are deep. The roll marks in the pavement are not even straight. Ok hold on I am not done . They even hit my carport and bent one of the legs . There answer was if I went ahead and wrote the check out to the owner they would not have to charge me taxes on the job ! Hold on I had a set quote. So this also tells me that he did not really want to have to pay taxes on the money"

"On April 14, 2025, I entered into contract with Oklahoma Custom Drainage and Construction for a driveway project in front of my property. for $ 10,972. Despite the company assurance that all the work was done in house with the proper permits, the City of Lawton Building Division has issued me a citation for construction without a permit. The work performed doesn't meet the minimum city requirements for thickness, rebar installation and it is too narrow to accommodate the width of my truck. When I contacted their office with concerns regarding the citation from the city for the lack of permit and to express my concerns for the aforementioned deficiencies the company director of operations got very defensive stating that the job was closed, inspected, completed in accordance with all legal code standards. Furthermore, she stated, to direct all my concerns to their subcontractor. When I indicated that I hire them not the subcontractor, she refused to further communicate with me. "
