"I have done a lot of home renovation projects in the past, and I wish ALL contractors were like Mike. From start to finish of this ENORMOUS project, Mike was amazing to work with. He showed up when he said he was going to show up, he responded promptly to emails and texts, and he remembered all of the little details that we discussed along the way. His estimate was accurate and included all of the components that we talked about, and then we made some adjustments to the original estimate, which were also perfectly captured. And on top of all that, his quote/estimate was one of the most reasonable ones that we received (and we got 6 quotes). He was so knowledgeable with the information and advice that he provided, and I had complete trust that he would do a superb job. We had to move out of the house while the work was ongoing. He kept in touch the entire time, providing updates regularly. I never doubted that things were going well and according to plan. He had a team of two additional guys and they were also very pleasant and very hard working. And the work that was done was unbelievable quality. It looks so beautiful - a complete transformation of the home! In addition to the flooring, we paid Mike to install new 6 inch baseboards, which was a great addition. I would recommend Mike and Universal Flooring to anyone who is considering new hardwood floors or any flooring work for that matter. We will certainly use him again in the future if ever needed. The two floor installers arrived on time, they were very polite, stayed on task and did an EXCELLENT job!!  Their attention to detail is commendable.  They cut everything to fit perfectly to the molding and around pipes. Their fine workmanship came through in everything they did; it really showed how much they cared about the job they were doing. They cleaned up as they went and again at the end! The floor came out beautiful! "Gabriel and his dad showed up within one hour on a late saturday afternoon after the asdist gen contractor literally dropped the ball on the carpet installation appointment. Gabriel was professional pleasant and awesome. He got me a quick quote. He litetaaly made a nightmare into an easy solution. So anyone that says they cant get people to show up or work your mistaken. Gabriel was called on a late saurday and carpet was picked up and installed by tuesday. They are wonderful."

"Brandon did a number of other smaller jobs we asked throughout the original SOW and was receptive to everything we asked for. We could not be happier with his work and character as a professional and person. He provides a line-by-line item SOW, down the cost of material for masks and gloves. As the SOW changed, Brandon continuously updated the document. He saved us some money numerous times as portions of the SOW were deemed unnecessary by either him or us. That is rare. "Roldolfo responded very quickly and was able to accommodate our immediate timeline. He was always on time, very friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. His skim-coating around two newly installed windows was terrific, and he was kind enough to repair a few additional anchor holes we added after he had begun. That being said, my husband and I fixed several deficiencies with the painting we only noticed after he had left. In a few places, it looked like only one coat of paint was used on the walls and the trim, as a few spotty areas still showed some of the plain white primer underneath – as if the rollers were not sufficiently loaded with paint. It produced a slightly splotchy, uneven appearance close up. We touched up some drips on the radiators too. Once we added another coat of paint ourselves, in specific places, it looks beautiful. My husband and I wanted the job finished ASAP so we could put all the furniture back, so we did it ourselves...although based on his responsiveness Rodolfo would likely have offered to fix the problem areas if we had requested it. Personally I would not hire them again, but if you need a job done very quickly, he’s capable."
