Customers say: True professional

"I have used many concrete contractors over the years; however, Omar and his crew are at the top of the list moving forward. They are by far the cleanest crew I have encountered, the did grading work, broom filled bobcat tracks and even put fresh dirt over where the pump truck hose laid so the fescue would come back faster. Not an ounce of trash was left behind and this was all done of their own accord. Exceptional work and was well worth the added week or two wait time to get them on the job as opposed to someone else."

"Excellent! Gustavo with GDM did a very professional job on our driveway. He and his team were hard workers and did everything they could to please us with the results of their work. They stayed as late as necessary to get the job completed. They were courteous and accommodating. There were no unpleasant surprises and the work was finished quickly and exactly the way we wanted. Their work was so good my neighbors hired GDM to do work at two more houses for concrete patios. My husband and I highly recommend GDM for any concrete work you want done."

"A rep from Permalift came out to give us an estimate for piering our foundation. While he seemed to be a perfectly nice individual, I wasn't comfortable with his speech detailing how he waters his foundation 3 times a day even during watering restrictions, and that he doesn't care if the city tickets him. "They can ticket me all they want, but who's gonna pay for my foundation if it cracks?"
I understand that the soil around the foundation must maintain a certain level of moisture so the clay doesn't shrink so much that the foundation becomes unstable. However, this rep's blatant disregard for such a precious natural resource rubbed me the wrong way. I also understand that this particular rep's opinions aren't necessarily a reflection of the work performed by the company. I do hope, however, that the policy of the company reflects the fact that water is a valuable resource - one that is diminishing in our drought-stricken state - and that there must be some balance between property preservation and preserving this resource.

"All services were exceptional.  Jill was very helpful in scheduling and helping plan our complete kitchen remodel with a quote that ended up being reasonably close to the final cost.  We recently moved into an historic house built in 1902, with a very outdated kitchen (probably from the late 1960's), and sloping floors and walls.  Peter from Handyman Matters OKC came out to provide a quote within days of contacting Jill at Handyman Matters and was very helpful in directing us to the right places so we could pick out the kitchen components we wanted.  The work itself was performed by Peter and Armando, who did a fantastic, high quality job.  The entire job took only 2 weeks---which was actually quicker than what Peter originally estimated!!  Peter and Armando showed up when they promised everyday, kept me well-informed of progress, and helped with any unexpected decisions that popped up.  They even helped with other contractors and deliveries while I was away at work during the day.  I would highly recommend them again as our new kitchen turned out to be fantastic.

FAQs for concrete delivery projects in Union City, OK

The amount of concrete you need varies by project. One 80lb bag covers an area of about 2 square feet, for a slab 4 inches thick. Two 60lb bags of concrete cover an area of about 2 square feet for a slab that is 6 inches thick.

A truckload of concrete can usually hold a maximum of 10 cubic yards.

The cost of concrete per cubic yard depends on which brand you purchase, but usually costs about $110 for bags.

It takes about 41 bags of concrete to fill a cubic yard. Always plan to buy a few bags more than the exact required amount in case of mistakes.

To calculate the amount of concrete you need for a slab, you should find the cubic yardage of the area you will be filling. Just follow these steps:

  1. Measure the area in feet.

  2. Multiply length by width, and then by thickness.

  3. Divide the resulting number by 27 to find cubic yards.
