"I called High Tech and Gary came to give an estimate. Unlike other companies which use drone and satellite images, he sent one of his crew up the roof and measure by hand. But the square feet they got are all close. Gary explained the roof replacement work in detail which was educational. His price is also quite good, so I hired the company. Six weeks later they finally found the time do it. The color was communicated on the first day of work. It took them two and half days to finish. The crew has 4 or 5 workers. They don't talk much but they are respectful. They put tarp to protect the plants surrounding the house. It was noisy and messy when they worked on the roof, which is not a surprise. But when they left, they clean up the job site pretty well, so there was no problem. The new roof looks very nice and neat. Overall, it was a straightforward process. They don't try to sell you anything fancy, just what you need."

They were polite, neat and most importantly to me, very professional. They introduced themselves and then got right to work. At the end of the job, Joe and I looked over the work together and then he refreshed my memory on the operation of the windows (tilting, screen removal). "Every home owner eventually needs (or will need) a new roof. Expense is one of the driving factors that usually determines the vendor BUT a more economical long range decision should be made based on quality. Quality of product, installation and service are essential components of this decision. This is why we chose to go with Power for our new roof and gutters. EVERY interaction with each employee was customer-centric. They patiently listened to our requirements and concerns and then offered effective solutions during and throughout the entire process. (The warranty was also the best available.) Power is a large company with multiple locations across the country, ours was headquartered in Maryland but the work was completed in Virginia. This geographic distance did not adversely effect the outcome. From the initial salesperson (who took the gutsy risk of letting me visit and talk with two neighborhood customers while he waited outside before signing our contract) through the schedulers, work execution and Quality Control final inspection we were well pleased. The work started on time and was completed on time. Numerous personal phone calls and visits by the Power inspectors provided us with the comforting conclusion that we made the correct choice for a truly professional contractor. (The ONLY minor problem for the ENTIRE process was an oil stain from their air compressor on one of our paving blocks.) With our 50 year labor and product warranty I doubt we will need to redo our roof in our lifetime BUT if we move we would definitely chose Power again! Check the Better Business Bureau reviews and complaints and you will easily see that Power is a responsive and reasonable company to work with. Need a new roof? Power is your answer! Note that our project included house (2050 sq ft) replacement of all substandard 3/4” roof decking with code 7/16” decking (2080 sq ft) and also included reroofing of standalone shed (100 sq ft) minus decking replacement/gutters."
