"Ralph was great to work with! We needed a stucco/EFIS repair done on our home. He came out and gave us a free quote. He gave us multiple options about what we could do and pointed out a couple of spots we had not noticed, which was really helpful. He was very knowledgeable and informative. When we agreed to move forward, he let us know when our project would be on the calendar. The date moved a little due to weather, but it was totally understandable and he communicated with us about it. Edin ran the project on-site. He communicated with me the night before that he would be there and then the next morning when he was on his way. We discussed the work and walked around the house prior to starting so that we could make sure we were on the same page. He had two other guys working with him. They were awesome! They showed up daily by 9a.m., they let me know when they were taking lunch so I could let my dogs out. He made sure that when they left for lunch and or at the end of the day always closed our gate, which was is so important when you have dogs. Their work was incredible. The stucco looks fantastic. The color match was great. When the project was near completion, Edin walked around with me to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. When it was over, they cleaned up and even put my patio furniture back in place. I could not be happier with the work that they did. I really appreciated the clean up as I recently had an experience with another contractor that did a good job, but did not clean up. This team did not leave the extra work for me to do and I was grateful! I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again."

"Excellent, no problems. My car was new the first year I used the service and there has never been any damage during the transports. The men picking up and delivering the car have always been pleasant and cooperative. Both Ely and Guy at United Transport has been highly responsive to my needs. I would highly recommend this company."

"As part of my plan to refurbish the major elements of my house in preparation for retirement, I contracted Johnson & Johnson Renovating & Remodeling company to remodel the master bathroom and adjoining closet. The work took about a month starting from 7/20/2016 and was pretty invasive to our daily life due to its central importance to us. Despite the inconvenience of the remodeling work in the bathroom and having to use the second upstairs bathroom instead, the inconvenience in the end turned out to be well worth it. All of the fixtures and shelving were removed from the bathroom and closet and a good portion of the drywall was removed from the bathroom. The end result transformed a bottom-of the line shower/tub combo to a tiled walk in shower with additional body jets. The dual sink and vanity was upgraded with a custom installation with about three times the storage as the original installation including new sinks and faucets. The lighting was replaced with LED recessed lighting. The carpet floor was replaced with travertine stone tile throughout. A new comfort height toilet, new medicine cabinet and a modern glass framed sliding trolley door was included to separate the bathroom from the closet. The remodeling seemed to take longer than expected probably due to its extreme inconvenience on our daily lives, but the end result is magnificent and well worth the wait. Although my wife had pretty strong feeling against trading a tub for a walk in shower, she is completely won over and both of us wish we had done this years earlier. Chris and his men performed very good work, the end result was high quality and satisfied even my wife's requirements. I do recommend Chris and his company for others as well. This was my third contracting job with Johnson & Johnson Renovating & Remodeling company."

FAQs for traditional stucco repair or partially replace projects in Unionville, IN

Minor stucco fixes—like sealing small cracks or adding fresh caulk—often wrap up in an hour or two. Larger jobs that call for cutting out damaged sections, installing new lath, and layering fresh stucco can stretch to three or four days because each coat needs time to cure. A pro removes loose material, cleans and dampens the area, applies a bonding agent, and builds up new layers, matching texture and restoring the wall’s weather shield.

Watch for a stucco surface that stays damp days after a storm, develops dark stains, or feels soft or spongy under light pressure. Inside, moisture rings, peeling paint, or soft drywall around windows point to the same issue. Any of these red flags mean water is trapped behind the siding, and it’s time to call a stucco pro before rot or mold sets in.

Give your stucco a once-over every spring and fall. Semiannual checks let you catch hairline cracks, stains, or damp spots before they snowball into pricey repairs. Keep a flashlight handy, look closely around windows and doors, and call a pro if you notice anything soft or discolored. Staying ahead of minor issues protects both your curb appeal and your home’s weather barrier.

A pro starts by scraping away loose material, then cleans and lightly wets the area so new stucco will stick. After brushing on a bonding agent, they build fresh layers, letting each coat cure before adding the next. The final step is matching the texture and color so the patch blends in and the wall regains full weather protection.

Think of repair as a patch: the pro fixes only the visible crack or hole. Remediation goes deeper—crews strip away the compromised stucco, correct the root problem (often water or mold), then rebuild the wall. If tests show structural rot or trapped moisture, remediation is the safer, longer-lasting route; otherwise, a straightforward repair often does the trick.
