"Our pool is 37 years old and we were trying to figure out how to keep the pool without spending lots of dollars on a replacement. Pro Basement offered an optional plan that will allow us to keep our pool and extend the life of the existing pool by repairing a problem area and fixing a drainage problem that caused an erosion on the one side. The company representatives immediately diagnosed the problem and installed a drainage system that will help with the pool and a water problem we had encountered due to the house settling. They gave us a starting date and flooded our yard with workers to excavate, install, and concrete their solution in a very short amount of time. I highly recommend and will use again if needed."

"We have been customers of Prestige Pools and Spas for 15 years, since 1999 when the built our in-ground pool. They are family owned and operated, and it shows in everything they do! Their prices are certainly competitive, but it is their service after the sale that keeps us satisfied customers. They have always responded promptly to any questions or requests, and their great customer service is what keeps us coming back year after year! <br />"

"Came when promised/scheduled. Had diving equipment with them so they promptly identified the leak and fixed the problem. Very satisfied! I wish I had called them months ago before I wasted so much money on chemicals leaking out with the leaking pool water.....!"

"One of my beautiful Italian halogen floor lamps just needed a new bulb (which is difficult to install because if its complicated structure).  The other lamp stopped working a few months after I had an expensive repair at another lamp repair place, When I brought it into them, I discovered it was under new management.  The woman refused to honor the previous repair and wanted appoximately $150 to fix it, telling me that halogen lamps are "terrible,"  When I brought both lamps into Nick, he had them fixed the next day.  He charged $10.50 for parts and $25 for labor!  No statements about how terrible halogen lamps are -- he just quietly fixed them!  (I brought in another broken Italian halogen lamp where a screw had broken, and Nick pointed out that it needs a plastic screw, which he did not have.  I'm searching the Internet for one now.) <br /> I'll never go to anyone else to repair my lamps.  He's terrific! <br />"

"Dave responded very quickly to my inquiry and came out to look at our projects. Dave seemed very knowledgeable and made solid recommendations for our situation, then gave an itemized list of costs. We have had the inside and outside tuckpointing & basement sealing done. The work was done soon after the request was made. They worked hard and did a fantastic job including cleaning up. I expect we will continue to use SuperDave!"

FAQs for swimming pool remodeling projects in University City, MO

You can modernize your pool by adding features like underwater LED lighting, mosaic tiles, or a beach entry for easy access. Incorporating amenities like fire pits, waterfalls, or installing energy-efficient equipment can also give your pool a contemporary upgrade.

To make your pool more energy-efficient, consider resurfacing it with a lighter color to reduce heating needs and evaporation. Installing a variable-speed pump can significantly lower energy consumption. Switching to low-energy LED lights not only saves power but also enhances ambiance. Additionally, updating old plumbing pipes can improve efficiency and reduce water loss.

A pool remodel typically takes between four and eight weeks to complete. The exact duration depends on factors such as the size of your pool, the complexity of the renovations, and the availability of materials and contractors. Planning ahead and coordinating with a professional pool remodeler can help ensure your project stays on schedule.

Remodeling your pool can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you plan to sell your home. A pool remodel can increase your property's value and enhance its appeal to potential buyers. Upgrades like modern finishes, energy-efficient systems, and added features like lighting or fountains can transform an outdated pool into a backyard oasis.

Resurfacing a pool involves applying a new finish to the existing surface to address cosmetic issues and minor structural concerns. Replastering is a more extensive process that replaces a deeper layer of the pool's structural base, impacting both stability and appearance. After replastering, you can choose from various finishes to enhance the design and longevity of your pool.
