"So-so experience. Job was bid and performed in the depths of the recession - I think he priced it so low that he needed to cut corners. Plus: did job quickly, when scheduled. Old roof was removed with only medium amount of mess. New roof went on OK. He did an OK job installing a skylight in the new roof. Minus: He reused the old gutters, which I would not recommend anyone else do - they were pretty battered by the time they had been removed and replaced. Some of them still don't drain right. Here's the worst part: on the last day, one of his guys fell off the roof. My wife was in the dining room and saw him bounce off our back stairs and land on the grass. Fortunately, he didn't seem to be badly hurt, as he ultimately landed on boggy grass. However, Scheinfeld, when told about this, took more than an hour to show up, and the injured worker called us a few days later asking for our homeowner's policy info, thinking that we would be paying for his medical care - can you believe it? I run a small business and am very familiar with the concept of Workmen's Comp - no telling what was going on between Scheinfeld and his workers, but something seemed to be very, very wrong. A couple of our gutters still don't drain right, despite several calls to have them adjusted. But the roof no longer leaks."

Christmas Day we had a leak I called and he answered and came out the next day to repair my roof. The owner was professional and polite and made my roof a priority!  We joked about how santa ruined my roof! I was amazed how fast the repair took and how  quick he came out over a holiday. "I contacted Adelphia via Angies list due to a leak in one small roof over a section of our home and the need to have the upper roof reviewed to determine if repairs were needed. Joe came out when he said he would, reviewed the situation, took pictures and was able to show me a variety of issues. One roof was very soft and had a hole in it which he showed me from an upper window. He told me they could come out within a week, which was acceptable to me. That night Joe called and indicated that it was supposed to rain the next day and if I was very concerned about the leak they could come out and cover it in some way. This was very thoughtful and great customer service. It was a minor leak that was hit or miss based on the winds so I said not to bother. The next day, I also got a call from their office to confirm the job which was very professional. Adelphia showed up when they said they would and got the job done in the estimated time. Joe and his team were prompt, courteous and very responsive. They also did a good job of explaining what was to be done and they went above and beyond all within the estimated price.
