"Rose Restoration was awesome!  We have granite counter tops in a unit that we rent out.  The previous tenant left an Easter basket full of fruit on the counter top.  The fruit rotted and leaked through the basket creating a small pool of fruit juice and basket dye on the granite.  It sat for months staining the granite under the sealer.   <br /> From the first phone call Rose Restoration offered up a solution that would not involve them coming out and charging the minimum $300 service fee.  The solution they offered was what they would actually have tried doing had they showed up which was to purchase a specific peanut butter consistency cleanser specific for pulling stains out of stones.  They explained how to use it, and for how long.  Despite them giving me this information, I still scheduled them to come out the following week to seal and shine up the counter tops.   <br /> The cleanser pulled about 60% of the stain out, but it was still visible.  When Rose Restoration came out to seal the granite, they also buffed the remainder of the stain out.  They explained that without using the cleanser for the week prior to them coming out they would not have been able to get the stain out with the buffing process, and they would have had to make multiple trips (each costing $300).  In the end, the counter tops looked better than when they were first installed! <br /> The only issue was they were about an hour late to the appointment.  This was an issue because I was taking time off from work to meet them.  This was blamed on DC traffic, which I understand, but it should be expected and considered when scheduling.   <br /> Regardless of the tardiness, I would ABSOLUTELY use Rose Restoration again, and I highly recommend them for stone cleaning. <br />"

"I’m looking to renovate my master and guest bathrooms within the next year or two and I can be very particular about materials, craftsmanship, and the details of how the contractor plans to go about the job. Separately, I’ve long wanted to install a stacked-stone kitchen backsplash. I figured the best way to ensure I was choosing the right contractor for my bathrooms - given the considerable cost and time involved in such renovations – was to first hire them to install my kitchen backsplash. I searched Angie's List for an experienced tile shop that seemed customer orientated and found Collin’s Tile & Stone. I emailed Buck Collins on 18 April 2019 to ask if he could give me an email estimate based on my attached pictures, measurements, and specific materials; he said no problem and got back to me the following day with a $1,300 estimate - the one-day labor rate it would take to complete the job. Buck thoroughly answered my numerous questions about grouting and sealing stone, how his shop cuts seams and works the stone around corners, and how they extend electrical receptacles given the varying depths of the stone face. After just two emails exchanges it was abundantly clear that Buck’s shop is the very definition of a service-oriented company. I never once felt I was getting a sales pitch or being pressured to choose a particular option. Buck let me know he could schedule my job in between his larger jobs if I was okay being a little flexible. On 26 April, Buck reached out to me asking if I happened to be available 28 April for the installation since he had a last-minute opening. We coordinated the specifics and his tile master Arpad showed up on time and prepared to start. Arpad knew I had a very particular vision in mind (stone size, color, shape, texture, and seamlines); we discussed the layout I envisioned and he offered some great suggestions that noticeably improved the overall look of the backsplash. Arpad is a true craftsman who was nothing but professional, pleasant to work with, and cleaned up as if my house was his own. He didn’t hesitate to reach out for clarification or ask my preference when multiple methods of installation presented themselves. Arpad’s patience and attention to detail are evident in his work and I’m very pleased how everything turned out. When I finally got around to installing the new receptacle covers a couple days later I noticed the stone around one particular outlet had a high cut that could be seen above the cover. Arpad made the cut exactly where one would expect and it honestly wasn’t his fault; the in-wall electrical box was mounted oddly when the house was built so it through off how the cover sat. I reached out to Buck, conveyed how it looked, and asked if Arpad could come back to replace the lone piece in question; without any hesitation or questioning Buck told me “Arpad will drop by to see what we can do”. Arpad arranged a time to swing by that was convenient for me and he flawlessly cut and reinstalled a new piece. My backsplash wasn’t the largest job in the world, but you’d never know that by Buck’s consistently punctual responses to my inquiries and intimate interest in my job. In the two weeks since the project was completed two neighbors and a friend commented how “natural” and “stellar” the backsplash looked and inquired about the company that did the job. I already let Buck know when the time and funds line up for me to renovate my bathrooms I’m won’t be wasting my time seeking or comparing estimates. Go with Collin’s Tile & Stone, you won't regret it."

"Top-notch service and quality of workmanship and product. Everyone we dealt with, from salesperson Farah and her supervisor Meghan, who took us several times on different days through the warehouses to look at the many granite types, gave us samples to take home, and eventually wrote up our order; to the workers who pulled 5 or 6 slabs from a stack to enable us to choose the two we liked best for our project; to the templaters Ege and Adam (hope I got their names right) who accurately measured our kitchen in preparation for the fabrication; to the unnamed artist who gave us a couple of nice options on how to cut and lay out the five pieces of granite required to fabricate our counters from the two slabs we chose; to the fabricators that did a fine job of cutting and polishing the granite; to the very competent installers whose names I have forgotten: all were highly professional, courteous and responsive. They answered all our questions and did everything they said they would, exactly when they committed to do it. And the price was very fair and reasonable for such a high quality product and installation."

"Richstone was great. I knew in my head what I wanted, but every time I found a stone I liked it was already on hold. A Richstone representative went to the granite yard with me and helped me pick out a stone. It is perfect. The turn around was quick, but we did do our kitchen in the off season. There is only one seam in my kitchen, and it is very difficult to find. <br />"

"What a wonderful surprise! For a price 80% less than 4 remodelers estimates, the Grout Doctor turned our moldy, ugly bathroom into a functional, useful, and beautiful room with permanent fixes! We were selling our house and I did not have a lot of money to sink into more repairs, but I wanted to fix the bathroom so it was clean and functional. I got 4 quotes from remodelers and they were all over $10,000 and they insisted on doing the whole bath (for even more money) even though I did not want it done! I tried cleaning the tile myself, but I could not get it clean enough, so I thought maybe a grout company could do that. My first call was to Grout Doctor and I knew when I met the President (Richard) who came out to give me the estimate that my worries were over. His professional and knowing demeanor ensured me his team would make our dismal room look like a new bath! He planned to start within a weeks time. Everyone showed up on time and got to work. The existing tile was old and laid in an 80s quick and lifeless format. Nothing was square, the new tiles that needed to be installed that I chose were a different thickness and well oversized compared to what was already there. I had no sense of design but the tile man (Todd) asked me a few questions then went about figuring how he could make it work. After neatly demolishing and rebuilding the moldy surface (fixing the drainage issue as he went), he came up with a very expert modern inlay that made the entire bath look new and beautiful! When it appeared the work may not get done on time, additional men were brought in from another job for an hour or so to stay on schedule. The regrouting (Vince) and polishing went very well and replacing the ceramic base went well too. Some tile had to be relaid where it had come loose from the missing grout. In 2 days time (as promised) I had two new, beautiful bathrooms with regrouted and shining tile throughout! The fix was not cosmetic, but a permanent solution. The house was now ready for sale! The men were friendly, focused on their work, and a pleasure to get to know. They knew their work, were highly skilled, and they were particular and patient to make sure everything was done right. They invited me to watch them as they worked to see why I did not get it right. I could not have been more pleased with their work!"

"Working with Washington Marble & Granite could not have gone any better than it did!  The people are the utmost in service-oriented and provide the best product, even if it means that the marble or granite has to be purchased from another vendor; if they don't currently have in stock the stone that you are looking for, they will effortlessly direct you to another local supplier that does have that particular stone.  We have used WM&G for 4 other jobs at our home over the past 12 years and each time they did excellent work however, with this master bathroom remodel, we had so many problems with the contractor that we had hired (IP Construction) that Ron Ganassa literally turned what had been a disasterous situation into a most spectacular bathroom.  We cannot recommend  WG&M HIGHLY ENOUGH!"
