"I went to my neighbor’s house. I saw that he had got his basement waterproofed. He was not happy with the job. So, he gave me the name of this company. I used them and they were great. I spent about $5000 on the job. They got the water to stay out of my basement; that is what I liked about them. They did what they said they were going to do. Their price was good. Another company wanted $15000 for the same job. There was a situation when they worked on the basement. They got some of my basement cut up. I have an old house and there is a funky drain system. The two guys, instead of ploughing through and doing what they thought they could do, they actually called somebody and asked questions. They were describing the drain system on the phone. They took advice from others to make sure the job was done right and I really appreciated that. To me it was really professional of them. They worked really well. I will use them again in the future and I would recommend them highly."

"This is the second time we have used Greystone Construction for roof repair. Back in 2018 we had a roof replaced after weather damage. Just recently I was happy to hire them again to replace an old roof needing replaced on another property we own. I would recommend this company to anyone. Their work is professional, fair priced and done in the time frame promised. It’s hard to find honest workers these days and this company is reliable."

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"It went excellent! We have had a leak in our ceiling for quite a few years now, and Ethan was able to diagnose the problem and fix it. Since we’ve had those severe thunderstorms the last couple of weeks, we have had no leaking whatsoever. We are very happy with the quality of his work! We have even asked him to come back next year and do both of our garage roofs!"

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Utica, NY

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
