"Lets just say this was no normal wall mount and a custom type in wall design and Steve took the job without knowing what he was getting in to and was a pleasure to work with. Very intelligent with a lot of common sense and a great attitude. I made the right decision hiring him and Atomic Service and highly recommend them. Came at 3:30 PM and left at 8:30. Said he wouldn't go home till job was done right and i was satisfied . For those hours i expected a after hours bill but the price was more than fair :)"

"It went smoothly from start to finish. Blake was professional, personable and answered all of our questions throughout the process. With having a crawling baby in the house we needed him to not only stop in a place that still allowed us to use the space but also clean up everything at the end of the day for our son’s safety. Most contractors might have refused or charged us to do that but Blake was more than happy to since he would want the same done for his children. I don’t often give reviews but the level of workmanship and professionalism that I.E.I Construction showed my family and I was top tier. We will absolutely use them again and have recommended them to everyone who has complimented us on the new floors!"

Small jobs welcome

"Doug the Owner and his son do great work! They are very professional, they show up on time and are great to work with. Back in May, Doug and his son installed a microwave oven exhaust fan to exhaust outside and today, Doug and his son installed a new exhaust fan for hallway bathroom. Before they leave they make sure everything is clean and you the customer are happy with their work. I highly recommend MED-RIGHT HOME MODIFICATIONS. Home Owner- Dean O"

"I was about to call an older appliance repair firm with lots of good reviews, but immediately received a call from Dan at APEX, a newer, but equally A-rated company. Dan promised that APEX Appliance Repair would deliver dedicated and professional service at a competitive cost, and they did just that. Our washer problem was solved completely in a timely manner with utmost courtesy and professionalism. We will certainly keep his number on our refrigerator."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Valley, NE

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
