He explained the process and recommended the shingles. He promptly followed up with a written estimate. The work was done 2 weeks early as an opening came up and he was able to fit me in. The job itself went great, even though rain was a factor. James did me a huge favor by removing his trailer from my driveway while we waited for the rain to clear a few days, so that my neighbor could get in and out of the connected driveway. The thing you should know about J Parker is responsiveness and follow up. Anytime I had a question, James was always there via phone to speak or text and even after the job was complete, he helped me with a few unrelated jobs to the Roof, for which I was tremendously grateful. The bottom line is you can't go wrong selecting J Parker. Most roofers I contacted wouldn't even meet me for the estimate process, let alone call you back. "James and his crew were great. They arrived early and worked late and got the job done in less time than estimated. Since our roof was old, there was uncertainty about what they'd find under certain sections of the roof, but they handled everything flexibly and professionally. They used top-grade materials and now our roof is set for the next 50 years! They cleaned up as they went, and by the time they left our place was immaculate. "I needed a new roof to satisfy the Insurance company (my existing roof was 28 years old). Called Home Run Roofing at 5pm on Monday, scheduled the rep for the next morning. Thorough inspection of all roofing components, discussed price, color etc. They happened to have a cancellation on Friday (today). The work crew arrived and quickly dispatched the old roof, had the barriers in place, ridge vent installed shingles placed and total cleanup of the site by just after 2pm. Amazing! This was a great experience with Home Run roofing from start to finish. I will be working with them again to replace my windows for sure! The roof is beautiful!"

"So-so experience. Job was bid and performed in the depths of the recession - I think he priced it so low that he needed to cut corners. Plus: did job quickly, when scheduled. Old roof was removed with only medium amount of mess. New roof went on OK. He did an OK job installing a skylight in the new roof. Minus: He reused the old gutters, which I would not recommend anyone else do - they were pretty battered by the time they had been removed and replaced. Some of them still don't drain right. Here's the worst part: on the last day, one of his guys fell off the roof. My wife was in the dining room and saw him bounce off our back stairs and land on the grass. Fortunately, he didn't seem to be badly hurt, as he ultimately landed on boggy grass. However, Scheinfeld, when told about this, took more than an hour to show up, and the injured worker called us a few days later asking for our homeowner's policy info, thinking that we would be paying for his medical care - can you believe it? I run a small business and am very familiar with the concept of Workmen's Comp - no telling what was going on between Scheinfeld and his workers, but something seemed to be very, very wrong. A couple of our gutters still don't drain right, despite several calls to have them adjusted. But the roof no longer leaks."
