"Ken was awesome. He showed up on time, was knowledgeable and honest. It's our foundation, and our interior has cracks from the settling of all the rain, Ken could have told us anything and we would have probably believed him. But he was so honest, and we really appreciated that. He told us that there is some rotting wood in the frame that needs to be replaced asap, to stop the settling, that would cost about $800 including parts and labor. He then said that our foundation looks good, but could probably do with some seismic retrofitting at some point, but not urgent or necessary at this time. We had Foundation Works do the work. The team that did the work was prompt, courteous, cleaned up after themselves and showed us in detail the work that was done. We would definitely hire them again and have referred them to our neighbors."

"Dan was here this morning, showed him where water was leaking in over our slab and ruining the flooring in the master bedroom. He gave me the full range of possible remedies, from installing a eaves gutter on the roofline outside the bedroom to a full (very expensive) sealing of the entire exterior foundation. And actually recommended that we start with the gutter (which I can do myself) and then monitor the area next rainy season and see if that fixes the problem. No pressure to hire them or spend big $$, just good advice. Couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended- this is real service!"

"I honestly don’t know where to begin. Working with Mike and HIC Builders to remodel my kitchen and bathroom was an overall amazing experience with so many positives. It was my first time remodeling my house. There were so many aspects of concern and stress. His ability to maneuver and work with different financial circumstances while maintaining a high quality of work. It also showed me that he cared about my project, even after the scope of the work had become smaller. I now know he has many projects going on at any given time, but you wouldn’t have guessed it by the attention and excellent communication he provides. I never felt like I couldn’t reach out to him for questions (and I had many) or clarifications in each phase. For me, choosing the right contractor came down to trust. I was remodeling from out of town, so I couldn’t check in on the process on a constant basis. Mike kept me informed every step of the way and eased my anxiety if anything popped up. If an issue or potential issue came about, he would bring it up to let me know this or that happened, but then he would tell me that it was no problem to deal with, and provide a solution as how he planned to work around it. The entire process was always transparent and clear. I could go on and on about what sets HIC Builders apart, but I hope this gives you a snapshot on why they are the right contractors for the job. I have zero complaints and they went beyond my expectations. Best of all, the end result looks like a million bucks."

"I hired Dalinghaus Construction to install two push Piers for a freestanding column/wall (bad clay soil causing movement). I meet with Kevin to go over the scope of work and he explained everything in detail. The price was the best I can find. Took one extra day to finish the work, but they did not charge me any additional fees. 3 month later, I had a feeling that the column/wall is moving again and call Kevin. He show up in a few days and show me there is no way that wall is still moving and he was right. They are very good at what they do and customer service is the best. Thank you very much."

Jose took over the jobs and all the permits when no one else would and helped until I got the certificate of occupancy on two substantial deck/remodel projects. Since then he has helped me with many issues from drainage to waterproofing, indoor repairs and remodeling and so many various things on my rental property too numerous to mention. Best contractor I have ever dealt with by far. In my opinion he is a good person, he has a good crew, he can be trusted, is patient and is highly ethical.
