"Last night our light switch started making a strange sound, and the ceiling fixture was blinking. Around noon I called Mr. Handyman, was told the repairman could be here this afternoon, and that there was not...not an extra charge for same-day service. The scheduler, Carol, set the expected time would be "4-ish." The guy, Mike, arrived right on time. He quickly found and showed me the trouble - - a loose ground wire. Mike patiently gave me my choices to resolve the problem: replace and up-date the switch or tighten the wire. "Tighten it, Mike," I said. (I like making an informed decision.)
