"I've used Fitzpatrick carpentry 3 times. I wish now that I'd never dialed their number. The first time I called them it was to fix water getting into my walls during the wetter months. Some damp carpet. They said it was fixed. The second was the next year during the rainy(er) season again for the same problem. Apparently they didn't fix it properly the first time. I was charged (full price, too) again anyway. They said it was fixed. The third time I called them was for new kitchen countertops. They failed to fit my kitchen sink straight -- not awful, but noticeable. And during the work, at the time they were measuring and removing the countertops, I asked to have my center island done with the same laminate as my other kitchen counters. That wasn't agreed on before hand, and the fellow said it would cost ~600 dollars to do that additionally -- which is a **** of a lot for a small laminate countertop. But what could I do; I didn't want my countertops mismatched, and the laminate I chose didn't match the existing island as well as I thought it would. The invoice came: $890 installed. $890 seems quite expensive for an 8sqf laminate island counter top. Now this holiday season I've discovered that they failed last year to fix my leaking water problem. And the damage is much worse than it was when I called them, either time, to fix it. I'm probably going to have to call in my homeowners insurance over it. This is terrible. So take my hard learned advice and don't give Fitzpatrick Painting/Carpentry/whatever ANY of your money or business."
