"Randy sketched out a design, removed the grass lawn and unwanted bushes, replacing it with an open garden of drought tolerant, flowering plants, surrounded by rocks and wood chips. He also installed drip irrigation. Always punctual. Extremely neat. Friendly (he chatted with neighbors who ambled by to watch him work). He also volunteered to come by and check - for the next few weeks - to be certain that all goes well.

"We contacted Gwyny last spring after reading other positive reviews of Bottoms Up on Angie?s List. We had a litany of small- to medium-size projects we wanted to address, but we were overwhelmed at the thought of tackling them all ourselves. We have a small house on a large corner lot, so there is a lot of yard to contend with, and it seemed like her company would be a good fit with the work we were looking to do.

She stopped by a couple days after our initial phone call to walk through the yard and discuss the work: removing turf and replacing with mulch; removing weeds and certain plants in planters and replacing with succulents; installing landscape lighting, etc. She emailed us a quote within 24-hours of our meeting. We immediately felt comfortable with her and were pleased with the quote we received, so we moved forward with scheduling the work.

Gwyny is so knowledgeable, and she has really great ideas about how to create a beautiful and useful landscape. We had a general idea of what we wanted, but she was able to guide us in the right direction through the whole process. For example, we have a large planter surrounding a very large tree in our backyard that was just wasted space. Gwyny suggested turning it into a sandbox, and our two little ones have played in it almost every day since we did so.

Also, since we were having quite a bit of turf removed and replaced with drought-resistant landscaping, she steered us toward Pasadena?s Turf Removal Program. We received a rebate of $1,600, which helped offset the cost of the landscaping.

Working with Gwyny was a wonderful personal experience. She answers the phone AND does the work with her amazing crew of guys. If my wife and I had attempted to do all this work ourselves (in the spare 5-minutes we get each week in between raising our two toddlers), it would have taken us a year or more to do what Gwyny and her guys did in two days. And it may have ended in our divorce. Just kidding. But not really.

We couldn?t be happier with the service we received as well as the end result. Our neighbors and friends have all commented on the beauty of our yard. We receive so much more enjoyment out of it, and the best part is that it requires much less ongoing maintenance than it did before.

We have already recommended Gwyny and her crew to another friend of ours, and we will happily recommend her to any and all that ask!

"We bid a number of contractors, and Paul won our business for a couple of reasons. His crew was friendly, professional and fast! Originally we talked about the job being a couple of days, but (I assume) since he had fallen a bit behind schedule, he brought in a double crew, and they finished over 1000 square feet in one day. Everything was cleaned and looks amazing! A NOTE: I needed a pet friendly turf, and though many companies say they have, upon his recommendation and my research, I was completely sold on the brand he wanted to instal as being one of, if not the best, and we couldn't be happier, the dogs rough house on it, pee on it, poop on it, and it's doing great... and no nasty smells. It does heat up, but no way near what the back yard concrete heats to... the woven base tech, with incredible stats for drainage is working great to drain urine, and so far no smells, and haven't really needed to water it down yet (it's been at least 2 months at this point."

They were quick, effective, and efficient in their steps even with some last minute changes and additions they delivered in the same window as initially promised. Should my neighbors trees grow too close to my yard (no trees) in the future I will for sure give Luis team a call back or recommend them to those in need of service! Great job lords!
