"TMW Enterprises & Beautiful Stones replaced our 20 years old asphalt driveway with an new 3-inch thick asphalt driveway (app. size 850 sqft). The work crew showed up on both days (day 1 - removal old driveway/installing gravel base; day 2: asphalt paving) super punctual at the agreed times. Professional and friendly crew members, very organized, clean work, no mess, and the final result (new driveway) looks great. The agreed total cost is very competitive and worth every dollar. Thank you TMW Enterprises Paving Maintenance, great job."

"On time worked diligently in the heat and was very pleasant, and professional. Little pricey but a job well done. After many neighbors saw the work they did, they received three other bids in the area. WOW"

"I used this company for a number of years and the overall service is no longer the same. I had them over to clean my gutters and I witnessed ladders slamming against the side of my house and they tore one of the edges from the corner of my roof with their step ladder. I will not use them going forward."

"Excellent and I could not be happier! Our asphalt driveway is original, over 30 years old and on all accounts should be totally ripped out and replaced. Due to other pending expensive projects replacing driveway is not an option right now. We just wanted to improve how the driveway looked because it was in horrible shape. This company explained to us that it would look better but cracks would still be visable though filled. That is exactly what I was looking for ... improvement not perfection. The communication is excellent and they stayed in touch during extensive rainy period to let us know that all the rain impacted their schedule and work would be delayed. They honestly communicated that they would let us know if sealcoating was not possible. The apron of the driveway could not be sealcoated because it had become partial gravel and mud. They quoted a very reasonable price and we will have that done probably later this summer. The total cost for a beautiful looking driveway was only $200!"

"We had an oddly shaped asphalt driveway that narrowed quite a bit at the curbing. Our project involved ripping out the old asphalt, expanding the footprint a good deal, and paving. J&S did a great job of understanding what we wanted and gave us a fair quote. The demo crew did a great job ripping the old one out, backfilling with new gravel base, and compacting with no damage to existing lawn or concrete. The asphalt crew did a great job laying the asphalt, hand tamping edges, and compacting. Both crews were super friendly, explained everything they were doing, and cleaned up nicely. Driveway looks great, and we are very happy we hired J&S."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Villa Park, IL

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
