"I highly recommend W.T Anderson for any roofing need for the follow reason. The five member roofing crew arrived early Monday morning and began to go to work. The on-sight supervisor introduced herself and provided me with her phone in case I had questions or concerns. Every team member was assigned a task and worked efficiently with little wasted effort. The team remained focus on the job at hand even when the sight supervisor was not present (which was not often or long). The company’s owner made sure to visit the sight throughout the day. His enthusiasm and positivity for the job was mirrored by all at the job sight. The job consisted of removal of 2 layers of shingles, remove and re-install 3 Solar Tubes, replace 3 vent covers (2 bathroom and 1 kitchen), installed 3 Easy Sleeve pipe flashing (a product I recommend, made by a local Virginia company), replacing of 11 sheets of roof sheathing (a lot of water damage during the 30+ years since the first layer was installed, not surprised), installed Weather Watch leak barrier along eaves, rakes, around chimney and all roof penetrations, install underlayment and finally the shingles. I was expecting the job to take 2 days (especially after the water damage was found). However, the job was done in one day and the dumpster was picked up the next day. I cannot express how impressed I am with the thoroughness with which the clean-up was done. I climbed on the roof and inspected the work I was quite pleased with the overall job. I did find one discrepancy (one of the Easy Sleeves was installed incorrectly). Once the company was informed the owner can out the next day to see for himself. He tried to fix it right then and there, but was unable to. The next day the crew was out to remove and replace (with new material) the Easy Sleeve. I am absolutely happy that I chose W.T Anderson for my roofing project. Although their quote was not the lowest, the combination of good reviews and the positive impression I had after the owner’s visit to formulate a bid was central in the selection (I had four roofing quotes). They were very responsive during the whole process (bid, work and follow up) and I would highly recommend them."

"I hired "Quality Built Exteriors" in September, 2016 to wrap the house trim and replace the gutters. I am physically unable to take care of painting trim or cleaning gutters which is what caused me to make the decision to have this work done. They came a month later, October, to do the work. The person that did the gutter didn't speak English so he had an "interpreter" with him. I later learned that he could understand and speak English. After the work was done it did look real nice but then we had a heavy rain storm and I had place on the front of my house where the water was not going past the gutter because the gutter couldn't handle the water. I called the company told them about it and showed them pictures I took so they could see what I was talking about. Their solution was to put what they called a dam which was another piece of gutter material attached to the front of the new gutter. That was supposed to make the water go into the gutter and prevent it from blowing by the gutter and shooting off the roof. I did not want that eye sore on the front of my house. I did not have that problem with my old gutters. But I replaced them because no one would cover them and I can no longer clean them myself. So they finally came while I was not at home to see what they did and uncovered that portion of my gutter and put a type of material in the gutter which was supposed to keep the debris out. I call the stuff a foam Except that doesn't work. So after a while the debris gets in the gutter and stops it up. Not to mention that I paid for the gutters to be covered. All of them. So this Spring, 2018, the problem returned except it is worse. Now I did not know that that was what had been done until a family member was able to go up and look at it and tell me. So now when it rains I can't stand at my front door because the water pours over so bad. It's worse than standing in a shower. I called them but they use an answering service and they wouldn't return my call. So I finally went to the office. They said they would fix it. They didn't. Finally Mr. Massengill, Jr. came and looked at it. He did not want to see my pictures. He called me back and said they would replace the gutter on the front with a larger size and they would not charge me. He said they wanted to make it right. I appreciate the thought. That was on July 19, 2018. It is now September 20, 2018 and they have yet to come to do anything. I have called and have gone back to the office twice. They have set a date and once even a time to do the work but they don't show up or call. I did not ask them to do this for nothing. Mr. Massengill, Jr. made that choice. Nice thought but it is meaningless if you don't ever do it. I am an older woman so ladies beware!!!! By the way, they had no problem getting the payment. I paid promptly upon completion in 2016. Updated 11/09/2018: This is a update on the problem that I posted about with rain water shooting past the gutter and onto my porch at the front door. Quality Built Exteriors did finally come and replaced the gutters on the front of the house with a larger size. The work was done September 25. The work looks very nice as it did when the job was originally done in October 2016. Has it fixed the problem? I cannot say because we have not had any rain storms or thunderstorms in October or November to be able to say. We normally have that kind of weather in the spring and summer sometimes early fall. But not this year or last year. Which is why I called the company the first time that following spring after the original work was done. The problem didn't show itself until we actually had the weather to expose it. My home was built in the early 1960's and as I said in my earlier post there was never a problem with the old gutters handling the water. And yes, I did want them covered because I can no longer climb a ladder and clean them myself nor can I paint the trim. Those two things were a big influence on my decision to have this work done. I really do hope that these gutters will solve my problem because it is not a problem that I can just ignore. I am rating the job a C because they did replace the gutters and it looks good and I was not charged."
