"I'm in the process of a divorce and selling my home. It turned out the roof had to be replaced in order for homeowners insurance to provide coverage. I was not in a position to pay for this out of pocket. This company was willing to work with me to get the work done, even allowing me to make the deposit in payments and went out of their way to get it done quickly. When they started the work, they discovered a lot of the plywood sheets were rotten and there was no framing support around one corner of the roof. They had to reframe the whole section. The owner himself is a very kind man and is teaching his son the business so I got to meet him as well. "I do NOT recommend "Home Pros Construction." The main problem was poor communication. It took a little over 2 months to complete the project once I signed the contract and paid the deposit. During this time, I spoke to their staff on multiple occasions. I was frequently given conflicting information. Compounding the communication problem, "Home Pros" sub-contracts their jobs-- so a 2nd company delivered the materials and a 3rd sent the work crew. When questions or issues came up, no one on site knew anything. So I had to contact the main office in Eugene. From the beginning, I requested the use of tarps to help contain the mess. My concerns were dismissed. And the crew waited until after dark to do any clean up-- so, naturally, they missed some. The morning after the roof was completed, I found a dozen old nails in my parking spot alone. I'll be much more careful who I hire in the future."
