"I was moving from Texas and it took quite a while to getting used to idea that I would be living in a house that may be older than my age - and I have fewer years to live than the years that I have lived!
We found this house in El Cerrito, except that the inspections revealed a long list of improvements that I must make.  One of them was that the house had sub-terranian  termites.  The estimate from the pest inspector was running into thousands of dollars.  It was quite depressing.  I browsed through Angies List every other day and one fine day I found this Deal.  I quickly signed up for it.  
When I called Sea, he was very courteous.  He requested two visits - an "inspection visit", and "treatment visit".  I asked for a specific date for the inspection when I was flying from Texas, and he gave me the exact date.  During the visit, he consoled me that the situation was really under control and that there would not be any additional charge.  The coverage area was well within what the coupon was good for.
Right after closing, I wanted to have the wooden floor re-finished.  This contractor had asked for the entire week.  I wanted to get the termite treatment done during the same week so that we can move that week-end.  Sean gave me a day during that week.  I was not at the house when he came to the house and did the treatment.  
He sent me the report the very next week.  It pointed out the areas were termites were found.  I was slightly confused by the report because he had used the same report template that they must be using for "Inspection Reports".  So I had to call him to confirm if he did just inspection or actual treatment.  He confirmed that he had actually done the treatment and pointed out in the report.

Overall, this was an excellent experience for me - both as an Angie's List member as well as for using "We care Pest Control".

"In the process of selling their home to us , the former owner was told by another termite company that  $7,000 worth of work was needed to kill both dry-wood and subterranean termites in the house and detached garage. Having had some previous experience with termites, I went under the house and looked for myself.  I could find no evidence of them there.  So I called Hi Tech, who had done termite work for me in the past. They don't currently advertise in Sebastopol, but they said they would come up for a small travel fee.
 Jim came out and did a thorough inspection.  I was very impressed with his knowledge and honesty. I have dealt with several termite inspectors in the past 30 years, and he is the best I've seen. It turns out that there were a few termites in exterior the trim boards and siding, but none under the house.  The other company wanted $7,000 to tent the house and garage.  Hi Tech said no tenting was needed, and quoted a price less than one quarter of that amount.

It took a day for the workmen to clean the areas, remove the insulation, pour the concrete, and set-out traps to make sure that there wasn't any new animal activity in our crawl space. A week later, the workmen came to check the traps and then install new wall and ceiling insulation. The workmen were punctual, diligent, courteous, and tidy. It's great to finally have the area cleaned-up and knowing that we'll have minimal, if any, future animal and rodent activity. "Kyle is an awesome guy with an awesome beard and he will handle any rodent related issues you might be having. Kyle came to my house in Brentwood and located a nasty rat that had found it’s way under my house and died. That right there ladies and gentlemen is a service that I found to be extremely valuable. Your local pest control service won’t find that dead animal and remove it for you. They just set and check traps and bounce. So….After removing the dead stinky rat, Kyle examined the crawl space and attic for any areas pests may gaining access….sealed em up. No more rat problems!
