"Travis Lane made a great first impression when we initially met. It was apparent from his preliminary questions at the first site visit, that he cared about his clients needs. We have a small, tight backyard which was always wet so we hardly used it. Our goals were to install a swimming pool, resolve drainage issues and replace lawn with plants, and hardscaping. Travis Lane brought us a preliminary design that would fit our needs and our budget. His hardscape and swimming pool design was on point for our wishes and we made minimal changes to his primary drawings. Travis submitted his professional plans to the county and our HOA and they were easily approved. During the course of construction Travis Lane started on time and was always here when he said he would be here. We did hit more rock than expected during the excavation which increased costs beyond the contingency in the budget. This took us over budget but was unavoidable to get the pool we wanted. We were out of town during excavation and so didn't have to listen to the hammers that week. After enjoying for a year and a half now, we have so much more use of our backyard for all seasons. My husband uses the spa pretty much every day after his daily bicycle ride after work. The pool is a great way to cool off when its really hot in the summer too. Travis made a custom stone bench with gas fireplace. The year round use for this is awesome! Travis was also able to give us a small negative edge on the pool. This is a great place to sit next to and drown the sound of the neighbors out. The plants incorporated in the design are filling in very nicely and provide us with color throughout the growing season. Some shrubs/trees died after installation (which took place in hot weather) but they were replaced under warranty. A few of the replaced plants perished, and we are learning what thrives in different parts of the yard. We enjoy all the visiting pollinators, which we did not have before. All in all Travis was great to work with. He and his crews worked very hard and the craftsmanship is amazing. After a year and a half, we notice no wear in the paved patio, plaster, and masonry work. Early in the project we found times when Travis did not communicate plans well, but this improved over time. We would recommend him for a design and build project. The end results demonstrate real craftsmanship and the integrity of his work is evidence of his experience in the industry."

"Smart Pools 21 owner, Cesar, completed a complete pool renovation for us in 2019. This year we had 3 tiles come off at the waterline. We called Cesar and, even though he and his team are extremely busy this time of year, he sent a member of his crew by to replace the tiles. We continue to be pleased with Smart Pools 21, Cesar, and his team. We still have some work to do in our little piece of the world. We look forward to the next project with Cesar."

They are both very nice, patient (especially since I?m a worrywart), knowledgeable, communicative, organized, and conscientious. At least one of them was here each day of the project to ensure that I was pleased and to personally take care of any items that may have been overlooked by the crews. They are rare individuals who care about their customers and have pride in the work done. I was informed every step of the way and there were no surprises. "No work was performed, as Steadfast failed to provide a quote for my project. I was excited to discuss my proposed deck renovation with them, based on the many positive reviews I read on Angie's List and their very professional process of scheduling an estimate with me. However, on the date of the appointment, the salesperson failed to show. He called me shortly after we were scheduled to meet to let me know he'd been unexpectedly delayed. These things happen and certainly can be overcome, especially as he assured me he'd call me back later in the day to reschedule. However, he never called back. Two days later, I called the office to inform them of the issue and request they send someone else to estimate the job. They asked for the opportunity to see if they could dispatch someone that same day (a prospect that would have been very satisfactory, as I was available) or, failing that, to make another appointment for later in the week. Again, I was promised a callback that never came. In short, it would seem that my business was not wanted by Steadfast, which is surprising in a market with a great deal of consumer choice. Perhaps it's for the best, however, as I have often seen reliability in the bidding stage of a project portend how the job itself will go. I only wish they had not wasted my time and caused me to arrange my schedule around an appointment they could not manage to keep. UPDATE(02/25/2020):After my initial review, Steadfast's general manager reached out directly to me in order ensure his company was providing the quality service many of the other reviews here reflect. He went above and beyond to ensure his team followed-up with me in an effort to earn my business. I'm very impressed anytime a service provider seeks to overcome an initial failure, and certainly that was the case here. I'd say that speaks volumes about the character of the company and its leadership. I appreciated the professional quote Steadfast ultimately provided and will provide a further review if I choose them to complete my project. UPDATE (04/08/2020):After further discussion with the Steadfast team, I was confident they had the right approach and mindset to complete my project; so I chose to hire them over the other companies I was evaluating. Now that my deck restoration is complete, I’ve very glad I did, as their builders were skillful, conscientious, and did a terrific job. I’m very pleased with the finished result and the composite products they installed. In particular, their install lead, Nelson, was very receptive to my requests and went above and beyond to make sure the work was to my satisfaction. Despite some missteps during the initial quote phase, I appreciate how Steadfast pursued my business and ultimately delivered the job I needed at the right price. I certainly recommend them to you."
