"Sitting on a slope, the 1960's cabin had a slight tilt to the left. Some of the piers in the pier-and-beam foundation looked questionable, and the 4x13 porch had rotted out. Was it worth even putting in a new one? It was. When Justin and Jarrad came out to put in a bid, they exclaimed at the cabinâ  s history, the materials it had been built with and its redwood patina. â  It was like the joists had been put in just yesterday!â  they said. It was definitely worth repairing, and they talked animatedly about how the foundation could be stabilized.
