"Their business was the closest to our house, so I decided to call them-although my father warned me they were expensive. Boy, were they! Two plumbers worked in our bathroom for about two hours and completed the task, no problems there, BUT they were expensive! They charged us $1,200!!! My Dad was right: They were too expensive! I'll never call them again! How much did "

"They were wonderful. Their workers were professional. They came in, got the job done, cleaned up. Dalton Deeter, who is the owner of the company, stopped at the job on a daily basis, then came back the Saturday after it was installed to see if everything is working correctly. They were amazing. We have only had one question. I called and it was immediately answered and there has not been any other issue. They arrived in a timely manner when they said they were going to be there. They worked hard and solid and cleaned up at the end of the day when they were done. And they came back the next day, because it was about a five day job. They were prompt. There were no concerns, no unprofessional behavior. They were very good, very considerate. It was a big job and so there was a lot of room for issues and there just were none. They just did a great job. I don't think they would have been the cheapest, but the quality stands out when you consider the service you received. Their service was just unbelievable. He was fast. You just don't get HVAC guys that show up the following Saturday to make sure that things are working OK. That's the only company I will use for a long time."

"Chris and Rob called and arrived 1/2 hour before they were originally scheduled. We explained the problems we had been having for the past two weeks with groundwater drainage. They saw that a main drain line was totally backed up, brought in the snake and had the line cleared in ten minutes. They also advised us on ways to prevent it reoccurring, plus they looked at all the other access points to make sure they were clear. They also did a check of the property to make sure there were no other issues. The entire operation took less than 30 minutes. Both guys were very helpful and professional (plus we got a refrigerator magnet!) I would not hesitate to call and use their services again... <br />"

"Affordable & Absolutely beautiful. Perfect job without any blemishes to the painting and perfect corners on the floor all around the room and in closet. We have been waiting for 20 years to remodel this room and could not be happier with the finished product. Jim was done in 2 days and cleaned up everything as requested. Jim came in under budget also a real pleasure we never enjoyed before. He covered my carpet floors while the job was in process, no other contractor who worked on our house over the past 2 years ever did that, we really appreciated that touch. My carpets are old but I have them cleaned once a year so that was a big relief to me. We are planning out a series of other quick projects and will have those quoted soon. We don't have any time lines so we can just fit right into Jim's schedule as he has openings. We just can't say enough about how pleased we are. I will post pictures when we are done restoring and installing the floor molding."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Waterford, PA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
