"Our hot water heater began leaking from inside of the unit.  The existing unit was very old and needed to be replaced.  After researching Angie's List, I made a purchase for a replacement hot water heater with Henson Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing.  Henson Mechanical reached out to me later that day to schedule my replacement, and to verify information about my existing setup.  They were able to send an installer out the very next day. <br /> Prior to his visit, Kurt Schmeisser called to inform me that he would be the person to install the new water heater.  Kurt was prompt, and extremely professional.  During the removal of the old unit, and the installation of the new unit, Kurt made sure not to damage anything in my house.  He made sure to put down plastic over runs of carpet in my basement to ensure that it was not soiled. <br /> Since it is now code, Kurt installed an expansion water tank.  This was included in the initial purchase price of the unit, and was not an unexpected and added expense. <br /> Before he departed, Kurt showed me how to manipulate the temperature of the tank.  He then demonstrated how to ignite the pilot light if there was ever a need. <br /> Through the entire process, Kurt was very polite and professional.  I would consider using Henson Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing for future projects. <br />"

"Got estimate from owner for work at a remodeling of a preschool, for the fencing and furniture building.  He was reasonable, and had examples to show us.  Gave us options for the fence and spent a lot of time talking with us about the job. Did great work on about 300 feet of wooden fencing including a car gate and a garden gate; also removed old cemented-in chain link from about 75 feet and replaced that.  Furniture was next on the list, and he built about 12 6-foot shelfing units for the preschool, according to our specs.  Nice job on those, and we are ordering more right now.  At my own home, he installed an expensive storm door, and did a good job on that as well.  That day, I asked him to look at the frame of a large window in my dining/kitchen area, which was beginning to rot or something with evidence of water staining on the wall beneath it.   He did look, and after examination, with us watching, he found and then gave us the bad news: a previous contractor had botched the job not even three years ago, and had not sealed the exterior, so the frame was so bad I could put my finger through it.  We ended up losing the window, the frame, the sheetrock inside, the siding outside, the outside framing, and a 3x5 section of the teak flooring PLUS the water had seeped down into the joists? supports? and those were pure mush.  Both my husband and I watched the entire discovery process, and my husband has previous construction experience, so the damage was not imaginary!  Timberland had the entire job finished within a week.  Luckily, I had some teak remaining from the previous contractor. Wasn't cheap, but wasn't out of line, either.  I now have Timberland preparing estimates for some considerable work at our home, plus the furniture for the preschool."

"The original oven/microwave combination was removed from our built-in kitchen cabinet. All our kitchen cabinets are oak and the oven cabinet required carpentry in order to accommodate the new double ovens. Carpentry involved removal of the shelf partition which supported the microwave and the alteration of the cabinet opening to dimensions required for double oven installation. Carpentry was of superior quality and the adjusted cabinet looks as if it was designed for the new double ovens. A new electric line also was installed from the breaker in the basement in order to meet the voltage requirements of the new ovens. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The old electric cooktop was removed from its countertop location and the opening had to be slightly enlarged in order to accommodate the new cooktop. Again, the carpentry was of superior quality and the new cooktop was installed without any damage to either the countertop or supporting cabinet. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />These new appliances look as if they were original to the kitchen as all cabinet adjustments were done extremely well. <br />"
