"Not all the employees treat the entire lawn..."

"They started doing my lawn. I think this is the second treatment. What has been happening is around my house the grass is dying. He took care of it this time, he said The price is good and they call you and figure out what's going on. They really try. They talk to you. I am going to wait and see what happens with the grass around the house. The grass itself looks beautiful. He said that there isn't shade on that side of the house, that is not their fault. When I first called them, the man was very good and his price is better than most people. They responded very quickly. The man was very nice and very kind. They call you before they come out. If you tell them you don't want them to do it, they won't do it. It is just very good. When I was looking for someone else to treat my lawn, this man came out first, before anyone else. He gave me the whole run down of the company. There was no waiting time and the price was good. He was quick to answer. He was able to stop, talk and explain what was going on. They just come in and do the work. They have been very good. They call me before the come. Last time when they called and said they were coming. I listened for them to drive in from the North side. I don't know which side. He came out and looked at it. He talked to me. He was telling me what he was going to do. He said I might have to put some rocks down there because apparently it is not getting any sunshine on that side or whatever. That is the last thing that he did. Was stop, talk and explain."

"When we moved into our home in 1997 two Bradford Pear trees were located in the front and one in the back yard. As many of you know, a Bradford's life expectancy is, typically, around thirty years and ours had grown old and were showing issues with early shedding, discolored leaves, etc so I decided to bid for a tree removal service. One tree had already succumbed to an ice storm several years ago so the bid offer was for the remaining two: removal and stump grinding for each.
I looked at the tree removal services in Angie's List and considered two companies who had the most reviews: Absolute Tree Experts and Tim Young Tree Service. As I remarked in another review prices are highly subjective to the customer's needs and resources so I will simply mention that I chose Tim Young Tree Service to undertake my removal requirements.
Both Companies' representatives were available to stop by with estimates: Absolute on Tuesday June 10th and Tim Young on June 13. I chose Tim Young Tree Service for price, credit card payment availability and closer by distance to my home.
At this point I want to add a couple of remarks: several times I attempted to contact the business number for Tim Young only to be told  "please leave a message-we are either on the phone or out of the office"...SORRY, THE MAILBOX IS FULL"  As frustrating as I was beginning to become, I was contacted and told" we have some time on Monday June 16-we can come in the afternoon"
The tree removal process was nothing short of one of the most amazing processes my wife had ever seen (I had to step out for an appointment). They attacked the operation with a military-like commitment and cut, removed, and chipper'ed the branches in surgical  efficiency leaving the stumps for a follow up team the next morning.
A stump crew came by the next morning (Tuesday June 17) to remove the stumps....he had the grinding equipment and finished the one in front but when I showed him the one in back he said "I can't get my equipment through the gate into the back yard (???)...I'll have to call someone with a smaller grinder to do that one"   and he finished what he had stared and left...
HE NEVER MENTIONED A WORK ORDER STATING: 1 STUMP
So the afternoon begins to unfold and I haven't heard so I call the Tim Young number,,,his secretary tells me "you'll have to call Phil (Phil Flowers Stump Grinding) at xxx-xxx-xxxx...when I reach this guy he says" my work order only says one stump"...
(I cannot confirm this but I suspect that the service invoice I received identified "Stumps: 1 (+ 1) but the one the secretary sent to Mr Flowers said "Stumps: 1)*
On Friday morning no one had contacted me to arrange an appointment to remove that second stump. I contacted the secretary and  she willingly refunded me the cost of the second stump grinding charge and we concluded our business for now-but the stump has not removed and no one has made an effort to find a person to complete the terms of the original contract
Summary:   Tree work-none better would recommend in a heartbeat
                      Pricing - very reasonable for work involved in tree removal operations
                      Stump work- poor grades for the attitude and  indifference toward the **miscommunication on the work order issue
                     
                      Tim Young office issues- **in need of improvement*
Now, having gone full in my explanations/descriptions "would I do business with this Company again?"
I believe I would for this reason: Mr Young has a certified arborist associated with his company named: Jon Chandler. Mr Chandler was he who came out and provided me with the estimate and I am looking forward to discussing replacement trees with him and, through him, with Tim Young Tree Service

"Dave's crew did an awesome job with our challenging backyard. We had a large amount of branches (many big ones, many more small ones), large piles of leaves, and other lawn debris to deal with, and when it was over they ended up with a completely full load of stuff to haul away. They were punctual, worked hard, and got the job done within the alloted timeframe, all while dealing with the joys of our steep driveway. I'd definitely hire them again!"

"The installation went very well. It has been 3 months since the installation and the lawn looks terrific. Some of the preparation work was done on 5/24/16 and the remaining preparation work was completed and the sod installed on 5/25/16. Nick's crew were hard workers and cared about the quality of their work. Nick was very good about answering my questions during the entire process and gave me watering instructions at the end. He has also answered questions for me after the installation. Nick also helped me with a problem that was not his fault. A healthy crop of nutsedge sprang up from the sod from Super Sod. This was Super Sod's lack of quality control, not anything that Intrinity Landscaping did. Nick got Super Sod to give me two packets of Sedgehammer+ turf herbicide to spray on the nutsedge to kill it. Some areas where they can improve: 1) I think more time should have been allowed to kill off the existing vegetation. 2) the crew should have done a better job of evenly spreading the black leaf compost; I had to ask them to spread it better. The area where they dumped it had way too much and other areas of the yard did not have enough, or any at all. 3) The unlucky new guy on the crew struggled rolling the 270 lb. roller and should have had some help, thus doing a better job of removing air pockets and ensuring the sod roots are in contact with the soil underneath. I would use Intrinity Landscaping again without hesitation; there is no need to obtain a proposal from another company."
