"I called Jimmy and we scheduled to meet to get a quote for removing 2 decent size maple trees, stump grinding, removing the dead wood and trimming 3 very large trees on our property. Jimmy was punctual, very friendly and professional. He gave me a very reasonable quote and we scheduled the work with Jimmy a few days later. Jimmy and his crew came out the day he told us and completed the job in a timely manner. He and his crew are very friendly and professional. They also did a great job on clean up after they took care of the trees. We were very satisfied with their work and professionalism. I highly recommend Jimmy's Tree Service and will definitely use him again in the future.

"There were 3 guys working and they did an incredible job on the yard. They were very thorough and I was so excited to have a yard that I could be proud of again.  They cleaned up all of the flower beds which were filled with tall grass and weeds. They removed bushes that I no longer liked and moved other bushes to make the backyard look nicer.  They trimmed the bushes and trees and overall just made sure everything looked fantastic before leaving.  I will definitely use them again! You will not be disappointed."

"Bill was trimming my next door neighbor trees. I asked Bill to provide an estimate to take care of few items in my yard. He stopped by and gave me an estimate. I talked to my neighbor and they were very satisfied with Bill?s work. So, I called Bill next day and scheduled the work to be done. Bill showed up on time and completed the work as he promised. He also did extra work
by chopping the large dead branch into small logs for my fire pit and trimmed few branches of my pine tree to clear out my path way. He cleaned up all tree branches and debris and I appreciated that. I am very pleased with Bill?s work and his professional attitude. I highly recommend Bill.

"Len and Katrina came out and shaped up the tree and cut down a large burning bush, and hauled it all away. Also had Len cut off a large limb that was hanging over the house. This was $150 extra, but thought it was worth it considering the size of the limb and work involved."

"Great. Upon trimming the bushes, a rock went through a sunroom glass door, which required replacement by Blair windows and reapplication of the solar film by Distinctive Glass (Bryan Shoush). Matt Harden immediately took care of scheduling the repairs and promptly paying the vendors without any haggling/hassling. Peggy, the owner, has been a real professional to deal with. They will not be mowing after this season, so we'll need that service supplied by another vendor."

"Very friendly people to work with and I highly recommend them. They took care of the yard and made sure they didn't put holes in it like the first company I used Prices were reasonable. They cut 4 trees down for me and have 1 more for them to do soon. Can't beat the service that they offer."

"I called two other companies for estimates, and both of them - good companies, and ones I had used before - would have charged me 1200 to 1500 dollars to come take care of the situation.  I was a young, broke homeowner, and this was well outside my budget.  To make matters worse, neither company thought they would be able to make it out for at least five or six days as they were booked up.  I worried the giant limb would knock down the fence before then.  In desperation, I called Mr. Dirt Cheap.  Blue Anderson, the owner, came out extremely promptly and met with me personally.  He's a very nice and charismatic guy, and he agreed that the problem should be taken care of right away.  He mulled it over for a while, and ended up quoting me a price less than a third of what his competitors were charging.  It almost seemed too good to be true, but I had little choice, so I agreed to let him do the work.  Out of respect for the urgency of the situation, Mr. Anderson came out that evening to start on the work, and finished the job less than 24 hours after I first called him.  His crew seemed to work together very well.  They deftly removed the giant limb from where it was perched above the fence, causing no damage at all.  They took down the entire tree and carted off all the lumber, leaving a pile of mulch at my request so that I could use it to line my walkways in the back yard.  All of this was despite the yard being surrounded by a privacy fence, with a carport that blocked them from having any easy access with large machinery or their truck.  This was a difficult job, and the workers and Mr. Anderson completed it quickly and happily and showed real pride in their work.  Towards the end of the job, Mr. Anderson came to ask me what to do about some large tree roots that it had been impossible to see before the stump was ground down.  These were obviously trip hazards and stopped me from doing much with that part of the yard.  He seemed almost embarrassed that he wouldn't be able to grind the roots for the same price he had quoted me.  He made sure that I didn't think he was trying to upsell me at the last second.  After too many experiences like that, I was not at all worried about it.  He offered to do the grinding for an extra fifty, but I was so pleased with the work I offered fifty more than he asked, and asked him to share some with his workers as I was truly grateful for the work he did.
To this day, I keep his card around and recommend him to anyone I know.  Thanks again, Mr. Anderson!

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Waynetown, IN

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
