"After several days of rain in Oxon Hill, MD and overgrown grass, my mowed lawn looks great. The fee quoted for regular lawn mowing was fair. I will use again. Thank you!"

"Hannick Construction installed a stone fire pit and patio at my home in Sept 2019. The quality, competitive price and timely installation was superior. Kris helped to design the specific patio and arranged everything from the beginning with follow up visits to make sure we were completely satisfied with the finished product. Everyone loves our new patio and I would like to thank Hannick Construction for a job well done! Great customer service!"

"Northern VA Grounds recently remodeled my patio with beautiful pavers and I am loving it! A neighbor recommended I contact Tony, who promptly met with me and patiently listened to my vision for my new patio. He answered all of my questions and explained the process in detail, including what materials he uses and why. He also showed me photos of his other completed projects and encouraged me to read the reviews of his work on Yelp. He was especially patient and flexible during a series of challenges that delayed scheduling the work for two months. His crew was professional, hard-working, and attentive. They even went out of their way to cut up some pieces of the recycled material for me to use in other projects. Thank you Tony and crew for great service and quality work!"

"Our home is now like a resort thanks to Bill and his crew. They installed the pool in the spring of 2018. We loved the company so much we signed up for the yearly plant and turf maintenance plan. They pay attention to detail and the keep up with the latest technology. I highly recommend this company."

"Tavis was prompt, courteous, and professional. He came out several hours after I made the initial call and started the job the next day.  He completely removed and replaced the broken bricks on our brick patio, and re-tiled the entrance way to our basement. The final outcome was fantastic! He did a great job. <br />"

"Edamarie was very knowledgeable and professional in her advice regarding the correction of these problems. She incorporated much of the correctly done work by that company in her planning. She also maintained the “natural feel” we had established in the previous landscaping work. Backyard Bounty’s Stonemason was also extremely professional and helpful in giving us advice. The quality of his team’s work and of his craftsmanship were extremely high. In addition, Edamarie worked with us in using environmentally sound erosion control solutions on a steep slope beside our driveway in addition to the steep Backyard beds with the same issues. These included firstly the use of various native plants and natural rocks in the beds. Then secondly, the construction of a large and long, beautiful natural stone retaining wall, which gently graduated downwards in height to match the the height of the bank behind it and the slope of the driveway. We were so pleased with the results, that we asked Backyard Bounty to return in 2014 in order to construct two further natural stone walls, re-construct parts of a dry rock wall and to create a long, meandering river stone swale leading all the way down one side of our home from the slope in our back yard, to a dry well (invisible to the eye), in the front yard. This not only solved drainage problems but was aesthetically beautiful. This work was all kept within our budget and made even more cost-effective by BB preserving the best of the previous company’s work and re-utilizing the materials from the work that had to be re-designed."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Welcome, MD

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
