Hello my name is Aj I live in the Raleigh area but are more than willing to go the distance for a job.. my Dad actually had me working a warehouse job when I was 15 so I’m great with furniture assembly, moving appliances, fixing appliances like an oven or a washer and dryer machine. I bring years of hands-on experience managing trades and remodeling homes, with a focus on\nreliability, clear communication, and quality results. I’ve overseen projects ranging from small\nrepairs to full renovations, coordinating electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, and other\nskilled trades to keep projects on schedule and done right the first time. My strength is organization\nand follow-through. I show up when I say I will, communicate clearly, and treat every home with\nrespect. Remodeling can be stressful, especially when surprises come up, but I approach each\nproject with transparency and problem-solving in mind. When challenges arise, I explain options\nclearly and help homeowners make informed decisions. I understand how disruptive construction\ncan be, so I work cleanly, stay involved from start to finish, and make sure expectations are aligned.\nMy goal is simple: deliver professional results while making the process as smooth and stress-free\nas possible. "Very very pleased with the whole experience. Mind you this was a rental home we have and the tenant was there for the appointment. While we had to wait 2 weeks as Troy was very busy it was worth it. Troy was very proactive to respond to my texted questions and it is evident that he was genuinely concerned about my repair and having it done right. His communication was fantastic, and follow thru just as great. I felt his labor cost was a little more per hour then I expected I still gave it 5 stars. Why? I feel it was worth it to feel confident that the repair would be done right the first time and I would know what was going on at all times. Troy as quick, efficient and as I said, communicated everything via phone with me each step of the way. My tenant commented on how polite he was, how he was courteous and informative when she asked questions and she felt he was very honest and forthright. What more can you ask for in an appliance repair person. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TROY. Keep his number on hand."

"Steve and Sam provided us with exceptional service in installing new applicances to replace old. They were professional yet warm and down to earth. When confronted with unexpected challenges, they were great problem solvers, never complaining, but exuding confidence that they were in a position to solve whatever came their way. Their pricing was reasonable and they did not expect adjustments when obvious extra time and work were needed. My wife and I would not hesitate to recommend Steve's Appliance."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Wendell, NC

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
