"I have holes in my exterior walls! I was having problems with a chimney area due to animal damage. Guardian convinced me the thing to do was to take the chimney down entirely. This took up pretty much my whole home repair budget but I felt I had to act to keep squirrels from getting into the house. After the chimney was removed there were vent holes (no longer connecting to any devices) in the concrete foundation walls of the basement. Guardian was just going to walk away at this point because they "don't do concrete" but after I objected they kludged the opening with tape."

"Update: The owner read this review and reached out to me directly to try to make things right. He was understanding of my complaints and treated me with respect. I requested a quote for siding repair, told the receptionist we needed siding repair, and then when the worker came he told me they don’t do siding repair. They only do full replacement, which we are not interested in doing at this time. Worker was condescending and said he needed to talk to my husband. Very disappointed in this whole experience."

"I was VERY disappointed by my experience with DJK Environmental. They had come to me as a recommendation from a realtor, so I thought they’d be good. We paid money to have the asbestos test expedited, which took longer than the timeline DJK gave me and they didn’t even call me when the results were in. They also made a few errors on the quote to remove the asbestos, and again didn’t seem to care about the timeline they had given me or earning the business from us. I had to track them down any time I wanted information . They did not keep me informed about anything which was awful considering the timeline we are on to move into our house. When I got quotes from a couple other companies for the same service, I learned that DJK are price gougers as they were going to charge me 40% more than the other bids. I notified my realtor about the horrible communication, awful pricing & negative experience with DJK to ensure they don’t get business from any of her clients ever again. Stay away from DJK"

"We found Ridge Top through Angi while searching for a team to replace our garage roof and house roof. We had 3 layers of shingles on and knew it was going to be a complete tear off and replacement. We met with Ben V and were thrilled with his service and the reasonable price quoted. Luke and his team did fantastic and thorough job, having both rooves done in a few days. We are so happy with the results. We have a few other projects coming up in the next year or two and we're going straight to Ridge Top. Would recommend."

"Not well and I would not recommend them or hire them again. I decided to go with Midwest Exteriors out of Brookfield, WI. In addition to providing a roof, I also ordered windows to replace the original 1928 windows in the home. They did state up front that it might take a while for the windows as custom windows are having supply issues. Fine. In October, I came home to roofing supplies in my front yard. A quick called confirmed they would be here the next day to install the roof. Prior to agreeing to this, I had expressed concern that I need ALL of the waste materials, especially the nails, be completely cleaned up as I have multiple dogs. I was assured they are known for their thorough clean up after a project. The project ended up taking two days, which would have been fine but no one on the team said anything to me; a call to the owner of the company promised follow-up. Indeed, they were coming back the next day. They did a very poor clean-up as I found pieces of shingles and many nails in the backyard, driveway, and in my front bushes. Again, I called the owner, James, who said he would talk to the team and it would be remedied as they are known for their thorough clean up. Even after the second day, the clean up was mediocre at best. Again, I complained. In January, I was snow blowing my driveway and discovered a HUGE icicle hanging from my downspout- the roofers had knocked it loose and not replaced it. Also in January, I got a call that my windows were in and we set an install of February 1st and 2nd. When they set up the first window, it was missing woodwork that I had requested being included as it was on the original windows. The installers assured me it was an easy fix so the project continued; had I known they COULDN'T fix the windows, I would have stopped the install and had them replace the original windows. They also stated they would come back and fix the downspout. Now it's May, they can't/won't fix the windows as I requested and they haven't fixed the downspout. As such, I am holding the final $10,000 payment until they at least fix the downspout (which they promised to do nearly 6 months ago)."
