"The Project was a complete success from start to finish! Elias, the Project Manager was excellent. We had a major problem with a roof that was leaking . We had several contractors come to look at the roof for estimates. Elias spent the most time of any of the contractors viewing and evaluating the roof and siding as well as the inside of the house where the water was leaking into and discussed the project with the President of Beantown. He was excellent at explaining what needed to be done. It was not your average "roof job" as the roof abutted a large chimney and the room under the roof was cold and drafty. He was very patient with me as I had many questions about the project. Janice, the Office Manager, was courteous and always available from start to finish. The roofing team was very professional and did an excellent job. They also added the appropriate insulation, new siding to the house by the roof, gutters and appropriate flashing. The roof not only looks great, but the room beneath the roof is no longer drafty and there are no leaks. Company was hired to correct the issues caused by a prior roofer whose incompetence has cost me additional thousands in repair. On Top Roofing installed a ridge vent that the prior roofer only placed on the roof, re-flashed the chimney where prior roofer failed to install to match new rook lines, re-surface flat rook where prior roofer ignored. In addition, On Top Roofing was used on apartment buildings to help close up the roof and eliminate a bat problem. On the Top Roofing is the only roofing company to use. It takes a while to get on their schedule, but they show when they say the will and do the job they say they will do. Only hire On the Top!! You will not regret."

"The slate repairs were well done and professional. The work they did to prepare my two porches for the copper gutters was also excellent. The gutter work itself was good, but I am dissatisfied with the finished product for a very specific reason. Jason did not check to see if the porch was level before he laid out all of the plans for the gutter. It turns out the the porch roof is not level. It is sagging quite a lot on the right side, and in the opposite direction of the expected pitch for the gutter. As a result while putting on the gutters he discovered that the normal pitch the gutter should require would not drain the water. Instead, he explained to me, the gutter would be installed at an awkward angle to the porch roof, adding that to change it at that point would require him to re-do a lot of the work he had done getting the gutters ready, such as installing a hole for the downspout and soldering the end caps in place. I agreed, not wanting to waste all that time and material that was already invested, but I wish I hadn't. The gutter squarely in front of my house looks awful. It is at a radical angle. and not nearly level, as it should be. It looks quite stupid actually. After the work was all done and I'd made my unhappy feelings known to him he said that one way to make it right in the future would be to add a downspout on the right side and in that way the gutter wouldn't need to be pitched at all. Had he planned that in the beginning, the new copper gutter on my front porch roof would look splendid and would be a fine complement to my house."

"I met Al Guevara when my wife and I were dealing with a very stressful home ownership related event. A few days prior to Alâ s arrival, a tree had fallen on our roof and rolled onto the deck. There were five different puncture holes straight through and on into our attic. A temporary repair was made the next day. However, a long-term solution was required. I called our previous roofing contractor and was told he had shut down the operation until Spring, 2024. My wife researched and came up with a short list of the highest rated, well reviewed local roofing companies. MGS Construction was at the top of her list so I started there. Another call would not be necessary. Al visited us the day I made the call and by the end of his visit we signed his proposal/estimate. A complete roof replacement (GAF Timberline HDZ shingles, ice and water shield, caps, ridge vents, flashing, etc.) â along with a new 40â seamless gutter â was scheduled with work to begin in one week! And no deposit was required. It snowed the evening prior to the (large) crewâ s arrival and it had no impact on the project. The crew used leaf blowers to remove snow from the roof! I met the foreman, Josh, the morning that the work began. In addition to overseeing the many goings on with the well-oiled machine of a crew, Josh took the time and had the patience to answer questions I had during the course of the day. And believe me, there were more than a few! Clean-up was very thorough. MGS will be returning in the spring to repair the damage the tree did to our deck and to do work on the exterior of our home unrelated to the tree damage."
