"I was so impressed with Top of the Line Painting. Weather held up the work for over a week but Matt stayed in touch almost every day. His team came at the designated time and finished staining not only a two-tier deck but also painted the front porch in less than a day. They also pressure-washed the house and it looks beautiful. The work they performed was absolutely professional and I am extremely happy with the job they did. I highly recommend this company!"

"They were busy and I had to wait two weeks for their next opening but it was well worth the wait. I'll call them first for every paint need that I have in the future!"

"Sanchez paint crew spent over two days prepping the deck by hand stripping, pressure washing, damage repair, and sanding. Key areas like top rails were primed and seams sealed. On 3rd day, 2 coats of solid color stain have my deck looking like new. I might add that temp approached 100 each day. The crew was polite, neat and responsive. No mess at all...could not tell they had been there each day other than the work completed. We will definitely use again!"

"They were the only ones I could find who could build the corner appliance garage door. I went through four different people, including the original cabinet guy, general contractor and two other handymen. They found the parts that needed to be ordered, matched the paint and custom built the door. The only room for improvement is that they lost track of my project for a month or so - I believe it was because someone left the company and no one realized this job was incomplete (hence 3 star on customer service). Good company, would definitely use again."

"Nathan built and stained/sealed a beautiful new deck for my family and I in early May of this year. He is very polite, professional, courteous, and an extremely hard worker. He did the majority of the project in 90+ degree heat by himself! The project would have been completed much sooner, had it not been for the 2 straight weeks of rain that followed. Nathan is also very creative. My wife and I had a concept in our heads as to the style of a new staircase and left it up to him to be the artist. He came through in a BIG way despite many challenges with unevenly pitched surfaces upon which we asked him to build. He also fixed a gate on our fence while he was here. He completed the job under budget, with no surprises in regards to needing more money for materials or anything like that. We absolutely love the work he did for us and would absolutely recommend him!"

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in West Columbia, SC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
