"AJ was nothing short of exceptional. His work is excellent, the drywall that he repaired looks perfect. No indication there was ever a crack. The paint work is excellent, while he did not paint every ceiling and wall you cannot tell where he began or ended. It all looks perfect. Now letâ s talk about communication. AJ, provided a very clear and descriptive quote, we aligned on a price and timing. He texted every day and hour before arrival, and again 15 minutes before he arrived. He showed up every day until the job was complete and finished a day early. Despite three change orders. The bottom line is I would strongly recommend AJ."

"Tom did an amazing job prepping and repainting my white shaker style kitchen cabinets. They look as good or better than new! He was punctual, reliable, neat and professional and a total sweetheart too. He did such a nice job I had him repaint my bathroom vanity also. Everything looks great. I paid a little extra as a tip and would definitely use his services again and highly recommend to anyone. "

"Absolute wonderful experience. Brian was the first response and came in with the most reasonable estimate for our outdoor house painting. He was very patient with our delay of the project yet vey prompt once we were ready. And he was very patient with our process of selecting colors. Jose and the team were vey professional. Everything was done in a timely manner. The house looks great. I highly recommend!"

"I had a completed Bathroom update from shower, tile and tile flooring. To kitchen tile floor along with the Dinning room and Hallway. The quality of work this company did was Outstanding!! From quote of project to time line. I cannot say enough about the expertise of the workers which matched their work ethic. Always making sure every detail was on point and approved by me. A full Bathroom update plus laying over 300 square feet of tile with full demo of both areas. To come under 3 weeks speaks to the diligence of their work. Every detail was 5 star and I would highly recommend this company. Along with this review will be photos of the project ( they speak for themselves)"

"My review of the work I have had done by Thomas Gianni & Sons Inc.. They really did a great job of working on my property. I call their office and asked to get some excavation of removing a couple of tree stumps in my yard and to put down approx. 20 yds. of gravel in an area near my shed. It was just about three or four days and they call me back to confirm to come out the next day, June 22. Their employee came by early in the morning and went over all the project. Figured out what equipment he needed and measured up for the materials and started the work about an hour later. He was very cautious and caring about minimal damaging to the yard. After removing the stumps he graded the surrounding area with the machine to the point where I only needed to rake it out to plant new grass. The gravel was put down flat and clean; not a mess. I would definitely hire them again."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in New Haven, CT

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
