"After calling a number of contractors for quotes on this project, we decided to go with KFG, as the pictures of Kevin's work looked really good, and he was extremely responsive and professional when I reached out to him to come take a look at the job ad provide a estimate. "Chris's team arrived early and went strait to work. He charge's by the truckload, which can be problematic if you do not have a reputable complany. Some companies would simply load up the stuff as they were which would have likely filled the truck 4 times over. However, this company broke everything down into smaller pieces which then reduced the number of truckloads, in my estimate, by at least half. For example, there were two sofas and Chris's team chopped them up into smaller, flatter pieces. Chris is very personable and oversaw every step of the process ensuring that his team was careful not to damage the premises and that the area was cleaned up after all was removed. Overall, excellent job!"

"I contacted J Perry in November 2014 to get an estimate.  Marshall, a very nice older man, came out and measured and gave got the estimate for the job which was $3852.  We decided to do the job in the spring.  I called in April, signed a contract with Joe Perry on April 20, and gave a 50 % deposit on the job, which is what they require.  I was surprised that they would not be available until early June, but because they had good ratings on Angie's List, I was willing to wait.  
They were right on schedule when they estimated they would be able to do the job, and came on June 12.  Though I was not home, when they arrived, my adult son told me they showed up around 10:30 with a crew of 4-5 men.  It was a hot, sunny day, but they worked very hard with a variety of trucks and heavy machinery to dig out the old driveway and concrete apron, and put down the new layers of asphalt.   The work crew was very diligent and hard working and they were at my house until about 7:30 pm.  The driveway turned out great and I was very pleased with the work.  I was also very impressed with the finishing touches they did, grading the soil bordering the edge of the driveway by hand with a rake, and cleaning up thoroughly on the street, sweeping up dirt and asphalt debris and using blowers to blow the dust away.  
When the job was all done, Joe Perry explained a few things about future seal coating, and took the final payment for the job, which I paid by personal check.  
If I had to give a grade to the total job, it would be an A-.  There are only two minor things that in hindsight would have moved their grade to a solid A or A+.  One of the sprinkler heads in the grass right next to the driveway they installed was left a bit high, and had I not intervened would have probably been damaged or sheared off by a lawnmower.  I was able to lower the sprinkler head afterwards when I put some sod in next to the driveway, so that was not a big deal.  The other minor concern was that they had to take apart part of a low retaining wall next to the driveway to remove a section of the concrete apron with their machines.  When they put the wall back, it was a little crooked, and they left a scrape on the edge of the top finished stone.  They also did not re-glue the top stones with adhesive  to the cinder blocks.  I was able to adjust the stones so it looks better, but the top stones are still not glued down.  This is a minor issue, but I thought it worth mentioning to be thorough.   
Overall, however, I was very happy with the quality of the job, and I would enthusiastically recommend J Perry to anyone who needs a new driveway or other similar paving jobs.

"Job was done very well on both drains - clean up was initially inadequate, but they responded promptly and took care of it all very well.
1. Call dig safe.
2. Saw cut asphalt around collapsing catch basins approx 6' x
6'
3. Dig up and remove asphalt and dispose off site.
4. Dig up and set aside existing 24" x 24" cast iron frame and
grates for catch basin.
5. Dig up and remove 2-3 courses of broken/missing brick
work from around catch basin.
6. Dig up and remove sub-soil from around the outside of the
old brick work.
7. Replace old brick work with concrete barrel blocks with
concrete to re-enforce the new barrel blocks up to 2" below
grade of asphalt.
9. Re-set cast iron frame and grates and set to grade.
10. Return after 24-48 hours once the concrete has harden and
replace asphalt with asphalt patch and compact to grade.
11. Dig out and remove dirt and debris from inside catch
basin.
* 1,300.00 per catch basin = $2,600.00 *
* One day job to complete.
* We will have to leave the area around the catch basins
coned off over night while the concrete cures , but the driveway will be passable.
