"Jame Bemis of Timeless Construction was one of two bids requested for this project. Timeless Construction's proposal consisted of a step by step list of the tasks to be performed with cost and time estimates to complete the project.  There was plenty of detail to look at.  To me, this gave me some insight as to what Jay's thought process was behind his bid.  It was a basic procedure to add on the extra space as well as remodel the older part of the house.  As Jay told me he had already built this house in his head before putting his bid together.  He was very professional in addressing our questions and all of our concerns prior to signing the contract.
There were two parts to this project; one to gut the old house and redo electrical, pipe replacement (where needed), new walls, flooring, woodwork, doors, add some hardwood flooring, new kitchen and two bathrooms, and secondly, add a master suite consisting of two walk-in closets, a master bath and bedroom, and an office.  This amounted to about 720 new floor space to the existing house of about 1700 sq. ft.  Total square footage is now around 2400. The project required; excavation for the addition, an additional foundation with crawl space, roof and wall framing, window installation, electrical, plumbing, sheet rock and finish, flooring (hardwood, vinyl, and carpet), interior/exterior painting, a new roof for the entire house, and a new furnace/heat pump. All of the crafts working on this project did excellent work and were at the job site when required.
Everyday of the project the appropriate crafts were on site.  Everyday something was accomplished.  The builder was at the job site 95+% of the time and not off working on someone else's job.  The workmanship was some of the best I've seen.  The work against the proposed schedule held true until we asked for changes. The builder worked with us through these requests to keep things moving anyway.
As we got into the project we had some discoveries in the old part of the house that needed to be addressed.  This added cost but never the less had to be done.  We also added some features while we had everything apart.  The builder was responsive and always gave me cost and time impact information with each request.  Some changes we withdrew due to cost.
Originally this project was to be about 10 weeks in length, however with changes we requested the project extended for an additional 4 weeks.  It is now complete and exceeds our expectations.  The home is beautiful and we got everything we wanted (for a price).  I highly recommend Jay Bemis, Timeless Construction if you want a quality job and delivered on time. While our project finished 4 weeks longer than originally planned all of it was due to additional work we asked to be done.
When the final inspection was done only two easily correctable things needed attention.  The inspector commented that this was a quality job and that we had a good builder.
Since my wife and I have built two previous houses and remodeled two others we had some knowledge and experience with the process so it allowed for much clearer communication between the builder and us.  Our expectations were fairly well aligned from the start.  Clear communication is an absolute must when doing a complex project like this one.  All changes were done in writing so we had a documentation trail in case there was any dispute about the work to be done.  One thing about a remodel is there will be discoveries when you open up the walls and you need to be prepared to fix some things before you can move forward.  This may add cost and time to your project.

"The work was done professionally and on time. My ceiling looks amazing!"

"I could tell from the minute Stan Petriyenko of Superior Building Concepts came to give me a bid on my primary bathroom remodel that he was an experienced and knowledgeable professional. He measured carefully, listened to what I hoped to do asking pertinent questions. He also brought up ideas I hadn’t thought of. He provided a thorough and detailed bid. After I accepted the bid he did a fantastic job of keeping me informed on the schedule and this continued throughout the project. I was always informed about what would be happening next on the project and the times he or his subcontractors would arrive. At the start of the remodel Stan met me at the plumbing supply and tile / countertop showrooms and gave me helpful tips and recommendations on products. He next set up dust shielding and floor / carpet protection. The work area and path from the entry door were kept organized and clean throughout. All of the subs used were experienced providing excellent workmanship."

"Juan inspected the drywall damage one day and repaired it the following day. Very quick and the repair was well done!"

"We got to Handyman Matters after being unable to find anyone willing or able to fix our broken window for a reasonable price. Courtney quoted their 4-hour minimum and offered to complete any other jobs that would fit in that time. They were very responsive via email even when I was slow to reply. I listed a few other things we needed and we got on the calendar for the following week. The window ended up being a bigger job than expected because the exterior storm window was difficult to remove. However, Kelly got it done, then unclogged a tub drain, installed a ceiling fan, removed a broken light fixture, and fixed a sticky gate. We got a huge value for our money and will definitely call again next time we have a list of projects."

"Matthew Bruce exceeded our expectations. Our 92-year-old dad fell while using the bathroom and injured himself. We needed an immediate response to make the bathroom safe. Matthew responded to my request very quickly. He asked questions about the situation that showed he had the expertise we needed. He came to the house within a day of agreeing to perform the work and completed the most urgent task that day. He needed other tools to complete the installation of the grab bar drilled into the shower tiles, so he had to return at a later time. He communicated clearly when he could return and completed the task. Additionally, he cleaned up after his work and was pleasant to workMatthew Bruce exceeded our expectations. "My project was finishing out a former shower stall into a future storage space. This entailed mud and tape to the sheetrock to a “ready to paint” status and lay new engineered tile flooring over the subfloor. Prior to hiring Torin, he was shown the space and what was needed in order to provide an estimate. The estimate met my needs and budget. He was always a couple minutes early, was genuinely friendly and professional. Each day he started by insuring his work area protected non-workareas from spills or other damage. His work was top-notch, and since the work took several days he made sure he always left with his areas cleaner than before. If I could give him 6 stars, I would. We are already in discussion about finishing this new space into a shelved storage area for the bathroom."

"I got 3 bids on painting the interior of my home - all where wildly outrageous - Val cam in with a reasonable bid and did exceptional work. This was the best contractor experience I’ve ever had."

"My 70's paneling need to be sheet rocked, primed & ready for painting. I also needed cracks in my textured ceiling repaired & the holes left by removal of old thermostats repaired. All was beautifully done. The textured ceiling was matched perfectly. No easy task. Im very impressed by Chuy & his team. Professional, skilled & a dream to work with. Very fair pricing & all work was done on time. I highly recommend. I have already booked my next project!"

"Our fireplace tiling project was done perfectly. Competitive pricing and very professional. Would recommend this company to anyone."
