"These guys are amazing. I saw their work on a few homes in my area and it was really good work so I decided to try them. They did an excellent job. You can tell when someone truly loves what they do as it shows in their work and Top Shelf did not disappoint. The house looks great. All the trim is perfect, the color is great and they were efficient, professional and left the property as clean as when they got there. I would hire them again in a minute. Great job!"

"Danny and his crew have an exceptional job. They've been on time every day, and they water no time getting to the tasks at hand. Our new color looks great! Danny has been very responsive to answering the questions I have had about the process as they have popped up from time to time."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in West Sacramento, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
