"The experience was very stressful. The siding crew was very rough on our 1774 home. They damaged portions of the trim, a window, and the metal roof. I had to constantly monitor the crew to make sure they minimized damage and completed the work correctly. It was difficult communicating with the Spanish-speaking crew. Materials are in my yard that still have not been picked up 2 weeks later. The finished siding looks good, but that is the best complement I can make. I had doors replaced by Power on a previous job and was very satisfied. I would be cautious recommending Power for siding replacement on a similar old house."

I am a retired senior citizen who was out of town when a major windstorm uprooted a tree that landed on my house, putting a hole in the roof, along with tearing down all of the siding, and destroying the Soffitt, Fascia, gutters and downspouts. BBS immediately secured a tarp on the roof to prevent further damage, assessed the situation and presented an estimate for the needed repairs/replacement. "Workers dropped construction trailer yesterday afternoon & began work this AM. Sergei (owner) stopped by and explained minor changes. Workers very professional & courteous. Bad weather pushed timetable back by a couple of weeks. However, Sergei stayed in touch by phone & stopped by with his framer to go over measurements. So far we are very pleased. Sergei mismeasured opening for storm door which is going to require a custom made door. He explained that he would absorb the additional cost. I admire his honesty. Project completed a few days ago except for storm door. Good job, workers cleaned up everything. Sergei stopped by to be sure we are satisfied & accepted partial payment until custom storm door is here & installed. We also had an issue with during heavy rain we had water leaking into the soffet which they repaired with a j channel. I would definitely use Alliance again for any outside projects or repairs."

"They did a fabulous job! Dave was great to work with, enjoyed conversing with him, a total professional. Estimate / price quote - Dave made an appointment to inspect (inside & out) and listens to customer input, on history of the house. He makes time for his future customers and is flexible, (including weekends). Although, we were taking estimates from other contractors, Dave Brodowski was our choice. Price was a major factor , other contractors presented ridiculous quotes for the job, Dave did for us. He won't sell you anything you don't need or say something needs repair/ replacement just to make more money. His online write-ups contributed to the decision to hire. One must face facts, now a days, labor, supplies are not inexpensive. Dave keeps the estimate given and pulls no surprises, if problems are discovered after estimate & during the work phase, he let's you know why the item(s) need replacement, he has a very strong business ethic of honesty & doing the job right the first time. Project time & start date- On time & accurate, (roofing is determined by weather & time of year) Dave contacted us, stating he had time between jobs and asked if we would not mind changing our start date even sooner, we were able to oblige. The job was done under excellent weather conditions & completed on time, the end result. . . . fabulous. His work crew, a group of dedicated workers, whom you will NEVER find, slacking off on the job, taking excessive breaks or not showing up at all. This is a plus when it comes to time sensitive projects. Clean-up- A phase of the job that often gets done sloppy or is neglected. Dave's crew works as **** ** clean up as well as the project, they leave your yard as clean as when they arrived. This experience was a positive one, very reasonable to work with, reasonably priced, performed ahead of scheduled date, on time work completed and an exceptional clean up effort. "I contacted Home Facelifters to remove a small concrete barrier from my garage, to repair the porch at the end of my house that was developing cracks and holes around the foundation, and to perform a couple of handyman tasks (replace a doorknob and replace smoke detectors). Joe replied to my inquiry and came out to give me an estimate within a couple of days of when I contacted him. When he and his crew started working on the porch repair they found that the problems were much more extensive than originally anticipated. The porch was actually pulling away from the house, and as the crew started to work on the porch they found a couple of large cracks running the length of the foundation under the floor of the porch, making it unsafe. It was clear to all of us that the porch would have to be replaced. Joe quickly came up with some estimates and found a solution to retain the roof over one end of the porch. He proposed replacing the porch with a new deck. The crew supported the roof on the side of the porch and removed the underlying porch and the concrete slabs. They dug holes for new piers and footing and poured concrete. It was also discovered there was some old (not active) termite damage on the lower side of the house where the new deck would be attached (this was damage that was treated when I bought the house 16 years ago so it was no longer active but the bottom portion of part of that side of the house had to be repaired and reshingled). During the entire process Joe was great about communicating the latest set-back and keeping me up to date on additional expenses. In the end the crew built a beautiful new deck with railings up to code. The job was much more complicated than what I originally anticipated and ended up being more expensive but was necessary. I may have been able to get the work done elsewhere for slightly less money but I do not know that I would have received the same quality craftsmanship. Joe and his assistant were great to work with throughout the process. They communicated clearly about when they were going to show up and about the progress of the work. They worked long days, often after dark, in freezing cold weather but finished most of the work as quickly as possible. There are still a couple of things left to be done (painting and building stairs to the deck) but those things have to wait until warmer weather. This is the second time I have used Home Facelifters for a major project at my home, and I highly recommend them."

"Vista started this job 9/17. From the beginning we were told by the salesman Eric and project manager Keith that the job would be finished to our satisfaction, all our concerns would be addressed. The roofing went well, we are pleased. The siding was a bigger job than they seemed prepared for. They removed wood siding and replaced rotten plywood. The siding looked fine except for an area in the front of our home which is vertically uneven. Holding a straight edge to the siding we have a one inch gap in the vertical level which was not properly prepared. Some our window frames are horrible. One of them has nails driven right in the center of the frame, others have gapping joints and one is wavy. They replaced our perfectly fine topped gutter with a 'top of the line' gutter which isn't topped so is now full of leaves. We live in the woods what were they thinking? At the signing of this contract our salesman Eric said he would do some porch screen framing and stain our new front door. He wanted payment of $600 stating this was his side job. After many, many phone calls, most being ignored, we have gotten no where. Brian Rudd finally came out and told us these problems would be corrected. Last we heard from him was 11/17. He emailed that the siding crew would be out that week to correct window trim. We never heard from or saw any of them again. They never installed the stove vent, stained the front door or corrected our siding issues. I've waited for spring thinking I would hear from them. Too bad, things started out well. Not a good company."

"We priced out dumpsters and initially, the dumpsters looked like the way to go but upon reading the fine print, we realized they would have cost more than a bullbag. Each dumpster was about $150-$200 BUT each ONLY included up to 1 ton of material, and the companies would charge me an additional $85/ton over it. The bullbag price was NOT based on weight but rather just filling the bag to the top of the bag. The bullbag not only saved me money, but the people were nice to deal with, but everything they said, they actually did. We have a house on the Cape and we will use them there too in March. We were told up front that there would be an additional $75 fee because of the location, but it is STILL cheaper and easier than a metal dumpster."
